(1) The revenue of telecommunications services has increased steadily, and the total amount of telecommunications services has grown rapidly
According to preliminary calculations, the cumulative revenue of telecommunications services in 2021 will reach 1.47 trillion yuan, an increase of 8.0% over the previous year, and the growth rate will increase by 4.1 percentage points year-on-year. The total amount of telecommunications services at last year's prices reached 1.7 trillion yuan, an increase of 27.8% year-on-year.
(2) The steady growth of data and Internet business revenue is still the main source of income
In 2021, fixed data and Internet services achieved revenue of 260.1 billion yuan, an increase of 9.3% over the previous year, accounting for 17.8% of telecommunications business revenue from 17.4% in the previous year, and mobile data and Internet services achieved revenue of 640.9 billion yuan, an increase of 3.3% over the previous year.
(3) Emerging businesses have achieved rapid growth and enhanced their role in pulling business
The development of emerging services such as cloud computing and big data accelerated, and the revenue of related services in 2021 was 222.5 billion yuan, an increase of 27.8% over the previous year, and the proportion of telecommunications business revenue increased from 12.8% in the previous year to 15.2%. Among them, data centers, cloud computing, and big data services increased by 18.4%, 91.5%, and 35.5% respectively over the previous year.
(4) Voice business revenue continued to decline, and its proportion continued to shrink
In 2021, the three basic telecommunications enterprises completed fixed voice and mobile voice service revenue of 22.4 billion yuan and 115.5 billion yuan, down 9% and 3% respectively from the previous year, accounting for 9.4% of the total revenue of telecommunications services, accounting for 1.2 percentage points lower than the previous year.
The scale of mobile phone users has grown slightly, and the number of 5G users has expanded rapidly
In terms of mobile networks, in 2021, the number of telephone subscribers nationwide increased by 47.55 million, reaching a total of 1.824 billion. Among them, the total number of mobile phone users was 1.643 billion, a net increase of 48.75 million households in the whole year, and the penetration rate was 116.3 units / 100 people, an increase of 3.4 units / 100 people over the end of the previous year. Among them, 4G mobile phone users are 1.069 billion households, and 5G mobile phone users reach 355 million households, accounting for 86.7% of the number of mobile phone users. The total number of fixed-line telephone subscribers was 181 million, a net decrease of 1.21 million for the whole year, and the penetration rate fell to 12.8 units per 100 people.

The proportion of broadband access users at 100 megabytes and above continues to rise, and gigabit users accelerate their development
By the end of 2021, the total number of fixed Internet broadband access users of the three basic telecommunications enterprises reached 536 million, a net increase of 52.24 million in the whole year. Among them, the number of users with access rates of 100Mbps and above was 498 million, a net increase of 63.85 million in the whole year, accounting for 93% of the total number of users, accounting for 3.1 percentage points higher than the end of the previous year; the number of users with access rates of 1000Mbps and above was 34.56 million, a net increase of 28.16 million households over the end of the previous year.
▲ Rural broadband users grew rapidly, and the growth rate remained double digits
By the end of 2021, the total number of rural broadband users nationwide reached 158 million, a net increase of 15.81 million in the whole year, an increase of 11% over the end of the previous year, and the growth rate was 0.4 percentage points higher than that of urban broadband users.
