The steady growth of data and Internet business revenue is still the main source of income

In 2021, fixed data and Internet services achieved revenue of 260.1 billion yuan, an increase of 9.3% over the previous year, accounting for 17.8% of telecommunications business revenue from 17.4% in the previous year; mobile data and Internet services achieved revenue of 640.9 billion yuan, an increase of 3.3% over the previous year.

The data and Internet services continued to play a stabilizer role, accounting for 61.5% of revenue and contributing 39.4% to the growth of telecommunications services.

Emerging businesses have achieved rapid growth and enhanced their role in pulling business

The development of emerging services such as cloud computing and big data accelerated, and the revenue of related services in 2021 was 222.5 billion yuan, an increase of 27.8% over the previous year, and the proportion of telecommunications business revenue increased from 12.8% in the previous year to 15.2%. Among them, data center, cloud computing, and big data business increased by 18.4%, 91.5% and 35.5% respectively over the previous year.

The rapid development of emerging digital services for enterprises such as cloud computing has driven the growth of telecom business revenue by 3.6 percentage points, and the contribution rate to the growth of telecom business revenue has risen to 44.5%, becoming the first driving force for revenue growth.

Voice business revenue continues to decline, and the proportion continues to shrink

In 2021, the three basic telecommunications enterprises completed fixed voice and mobile voice services revenue of 22.4 billion yuan and 115.5 billion yuan, down 9% and 3% respectively from the previous year, accounting for 9.4% of the total revenue of telecommunications services, accounting for 1.2 percentage points lower than the previous year.
