The first: The first commander of the Seventh Corps was Huang Baitao, so it was also called Huang Baitao Corps. Huang Baitao was an alternative general in the Nationalist army, he was not a concubine of Chiang Kai-shek, and he completely relied on his military achievements to gain a firm foothold in the Nationalist army and was reused.
However, during the liberation, especially after the Great Battle of Eastern Henan, Huang Baitao performed well, and after the war, Chiang Kai-shek personally wore the Order of the Blue Sky and White Sun for Huang Botao. Soon Chiang Kai-shek decided to merge the 63rd and 64th Armies and the 25th Army into the Seventh Corps, please note that these armies belong to the Miscellaneous Army, most of which are from the Cantonese system.
However, in the Battle of Huaihai, Huang Baitao's corps was willing to take the lead, and finally was surrounded by Huaye in the Nianzhuang area, and then, Chen Su mobilized heavy troops to surround and annihilate Huang Baitao's corps, huaye fought hard for 12 days, and finally annihilated the entire corps, but at the same time caused huge casualties to Huaye, and the commander of the 7th Corps, Huang Baitao, was also killed.
The second: The first commander of the Second Corps was Qiu Qingquan, so it was also called the Qiu Qingquan Corps. Qiu Qingquan graduated from the Huangpu Ii Phase II, he can write and fight, fight without death, and is known as the mad general.
In August 1948, Chiang Kai-shek expanded the Second Corps on the basis of the integrated 5th Army, please note that the 5th Army was one of the five ace armies of chiang kai-shek's group at that time, and the 5th Army of the Second Corps was added to the tiger. The third: The first commander of the Twelfth Corps was Huang Wei, so it was also called the Huang Wei Corps. This corps can be said to be the yan clan corps in the consortial lineage, so the commander of the corps, Huang Wei, and the deputy commander Hu Lian, all belong to the civil engineering generals, and Chen Cheng is the leader of this faction. Including Huang Wei and Hu Lian, they all belonged to the general line of generals.
Before the Battle of Huaihai, Chiang Kai-shek decided to establish the Twelfth Corps on the basis of the reorganized 18th Army and Wu Shaozhou's 4th Corps, with five corps plus the Fourth Rapid Column totaling 120,000 people. After Huang Baitao's corps was surrounded in the Battle of Huaihai, Chiang Kai-shek sent Huang Wei's corps to the rescue, and when the Twelfth Corps marched to Suxian County, it mistakenly entered the encirclement of the Central Plains Field Army.
