In 1936, a young man in Fujian province was executed by Ling Chi, leaving behind a posthumous photograph of the torture rack

Before the outbreak of the War of Resistance Against Japan, the Kuomintang Chiang Kai-shek clique suppressed the ranks of our Party at every turn in an attempt to strangle this young contingent in its cradle. Many revolutionaries fell in a pool of blood. Among them, in 1936, after a good party member was arrested by Kuomintang agents, he was executed by Ling Chi.

The party member's name was Ling Fushun, and the enemy's cruel interrogation for several days did not bring him down, and finally the angry agent tied him to a stake and cut him with a knife, and at the last moment of his life, Ling Fushun shouted that "revolution will never be extinguished", and as soon as the words fell, the executioner ended his young life with a knife.

Ling Fushun was born in a poor family in Fujian, when he was exploited and oppressed by the old forces such as landlords, the whole family often did not have enough to eat, and his father died when he was very young because of years of fatigue. In order to survive, he had to follow his mother around and make a living by begging.

Although the hard life made them often unable to eat and wear clothes, Ling Fushun never gave up the hope in his heart, but strengthened his will to resist. Later, his mother also died on the way to begging, and he became an orphan and had to earn a living by working for others.

During the part-time job, he suffered all kinds of cold eyes and oppression. Later, he joined the revolutionary ranks of our Party at the introduction of a fellow villager. In the revolutionary ranks, he found the warmth of home, and the tasks assigned to him by the organization were extraordinarily proactive and never afraid of sacrifice.

His superiors ordered him to form guerrilla units in the local area to fight against the Kuomintang troops, and at the same time to organize a peasant movement against the oppression and exploitation of the old forces, and because of his outstanding performance, he was soon absorbed into the party organization. Because of his flexibility, the organization allowed him to break into the Kuomintang and carry out intelligence and information work.

With the help of the organization, he successfully entered a kuomintang garrison and gradually became a small backbone. In addition to gathering intelligence, he also actively guided those Kuomintang soldiers and publicized our party's policy ideas to them, winning the support and trust of many people.

When the time was ripe, he began to think about how to plot an uprising against more Kuomintang soldiers. Just then, a red army unit captured an important local village. Ling Fushun immediately contacted the Nationalist soldiers and launched an uprising, and they successfully subdued the captain of the garrison. Not only that, but a large number of weapons and ammunition were also captured and provided to the Red Army troops for use.

Soon after, Chiang Kai-shek began to launch a comprehensive encirclement and suppression of the Red Army, in a vain attempt to eliminate the Red Army's strength. However, under the command of our Party, we have repeatedly escaped from dangerous situations and preserved the living forces of the revolution. Annoyed and enraged, Chiang Kai-shek gathered heavy troops to launch the fifth encirclement and suppression campaign. In desperation, the Red Army began a twenty-five-thousand-mile long march.

Ling Fushun continued to organize guerrilla battles against the Kuomintang in the local area, and won many victories in succession, which made the Kuomintang Chiang Kai-shek clique extremely angry, and they increased their troops and vowed to completely eliminate the guerrilla forces in eastern Fujian. However, Ling Fushun led everyone to fight tenaciously and dealt a heavy blow to the arrogance of the enemy.

The Kuomintang began to notice this outstanding Red Army commander and mobilized many secret service forces to hunt him down, and in such a dangerous struggle environment, Ling Fushun did not back down, but insisted on fighting, while actively raising weapons, ammunition and funds for the Red Army team.

Once, however, he was suddenly captured by the agents, trapping him in a small village. The agents immediately sent dozens of people to round him up, and in order to cover the retreat of the comrades, Ling Fushun was unfortunately arrested.

The Kuomintang agents interrogated him very cruelly and asked him to give all the information about the Red Army. He endured wave after wave of torture, never uttering a word.

In desperation, the spies began to coerce and seduce him, and even tried to use high-ranking officials Houlu and beautiful women to make him submit, which were rejected by Ling Fushun. A new round of torture was then launched, which tortured him for more than 20 days. Ling Fushun's body no longer had a piece of intact skin.

If he confessed to the enemy what he knew, it would bring great losses to the revolution, and the madness of the enemy only stimulated his firm will, and he gritted his teeth and insisted on not revealing a word of information. In the end, the enraged agent decided to kill him, tied him to a pillar, and wanted to execute him, and at the last moment Ling Fushun used all his strength to shout the earth-shaking slogan. At that time, the picture was extremely tragic, and many people were moved to tears.

With expectations of revolution, Ling Fushun completed his young life, and in 1936 he was only 24 years old. Revolutionary ancestors like Ling Fushun, and many of them exchanged their blood and lives for our final victory. At any time, we must not forget the heroic spirit left by our revolutionary ancestors, but we must also cherish the current peaceful and happy living environment.
