Professor Chen Shangjun of the Department of Chinese Chinese And Speech of Fudan University won the Fifth Simian Original Award by Professor Chen Shangjun of the Department of Chinese and Chinese Literature of Fudan University (published by Zhonghua Bookstore in 1992), and "Mind, Language and Machine: A Dialogue between Wittgenstein's Philosophy and Artificial Intelligence Science" (published by People's Publishing House in 2013) won the Fifth Simian Youth Original Award. In this year's Simian Original Award, 2 scholars of our school won awards, achieving a historical breakthrough. In addition, 2 Fudan alumni won the award.
Introduction of the winning achievements of the Simian Original Award
Chen Shangjun's Supplement to Quan Tang Poetry, published by Zhonghua Bookstore in 1992.
The Supplement to Quan Tang Poems is Professor Chen Shangjun's first monograph, and the complete series consists of two parts, one is the abridged edition of the Quan Tang Poetry External Edition, which is the first volume; the other is the collected Quan Tang Poetry Continuation Collection, which is the second and third volume, which is a comprehensive and systematic supplement to the lost poetry of the nine hundred volumes of the Quan Tang Poems compiled during the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty more than three hundred years ago. The Qing people received 2567 poems of 49403 poems and 1555 sentences, the series also includes Wang Chongmin, Sun Wang, Tong Yangnian three Mr. income, more than 6000 supplementary poems, about 700 new authors, is the twentieth century Tang poetry supplement collection of masterpieces. The first draft of the book was completed in early 1985, and after being reviewed and revised by the Zhonghua Book Company, it was added and finalized in 1988, with a total of about 1.25 million words.

Xu Yingjin, Mind, Language and Machine: A Dialogue between Wittgenstein's Philosophy and the Science of Artificial Intelligence, Published by People's Publishing House, 2013.
Artificial intelligence science is one of the important disciplines that are of hot concern in the global academic community, but at present, domestic books on artificial intelligence science are written from the perspective of science and engineering, and the attention to artificial intelligence problems from a philosophical point of view is still relatively rare. The research ambition of early AI experts was to fully replicate the activity of the human mind through machine simulation. It is precisely because of the intrinsic relationship between philosophy and artificial intelligence that there is now a relatively hot new branch of philosophy in the West, called "artificial intelligence philosophy", and even special publications, such as "Machine and Mind". However, the research on these issues in the Chinese philosophical community has not yet been fully followed. Therefore, the book introduces the reader to the basic development history of artificial intelligence science and the basic technology and the general development of the philosophical branch of "engineering intelligence philosophy", and builds a bridge between Vickers philosophy and artificial intelligence sub-topics such as knowledge representation, natural language understanding, robotics, and non-monotonous reasoning.

In order to commemorate Mr. Lu Simian, a famous modern historian in China, inherit the outstanding academic tradition of Chinese humanities, promote cultural inheritance and innovation, encourage contemporary humanities scholars to devote themselves to research and have the courage to innovate, and produce domestic first-class and internationally influential original masterpieces, the Simian Original Award was established in 2011.
The Simian OriginalIty Award is held every two years, and the shortlisted results are confirmed after passing the procedures of sea selection nomination, expert recommendation, scholar voting, questionnaire evaluation, peer review and expert final review meeting. The selected results are limited to the original academic achievements with great influence published for the first time in the field of humanities since the reform and opening up. At present, the Simian Original Award has been included in the humanities and social sciences category recognized by the Ministry of Education.
