On October 18, the 2024 Nansha Global Investment and Intelligence Promotion Conference was held at the Nansha International Financial Forum Conference Center in Guangzhou.
At the conference, the Administrative Committee of Guangzhou Nansha Economic and Technological Development Zone and Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. officially signed a cooperation agreement on Huawei (Nansha) Artificial Intelligence Innovation Center.
The signing marks a new stage of in-depth cooperation between the two parties in the field of artificial intelligence, and will inject new impetus into the digital transformation and industrial upgrading of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
It is reported that the two sides will focus on the digital innovation, transformation and upgrading of industries in the Nansha region, and carry out in-depth cooperation in five aspects, including digital platform base, technology empowerment, business empowerment, talent training, and application ecological construction, through the construction of a "1+N+X" industrial comprehensive service platform.
Based on the common development concept and long-term strategic planning of the two parties, the two parties aim to jointly build an AI industry highland integrating R&D, incubation, talent training, and ecosystem activation through Huawei's technical capabilities and ecosystem construction capabilities, as well as Nansha's geographical advantages.
In recent years, the Nansha artificial intelligence industry cluster has continued to grow, gathering representative companies such as Pony.ai, a super unicorn in the field of L4 autonomous driving, as well as Yuncong Technology and Lenovo Communication.
As of May this year, Nansha has introduced and cultivated more than 500 artificial intelligence enterprises, including 1 unicorn enterprise and 8 future unicorn enterprises, with a cumulative valuation of more than 75 billion yuan.
At present, Nansha has become an important agglomeration area and application demonstration area for artificial intelligence and digital economy industries in China, and is building a number of application demonstration benchmark projects in the fields of vehicle-road collaborative autonomous driving and intelligent logistics with the main line of promoting the construction of smart cities and digital governments.
