On October 18, the 2nd Digital Cultural Tourism "Artificial Intelligence Helps Ecotourism Development" Summit Seminar was held at the Chongming Campus of Xianda College of Economics and Humanities of Shanghai University of Foreign Chinese. With the theme of "Harmonious Symbiosis - Multi-dimensional Perspective and Innovative Development of Ecotourism", the seminar focused on the development of ecotourism in business innovation, digital and artificial intelligence technology application, cultural inheritance and cultural resource development, creative industry and cross-border integration, management system design and talent training. New opportunities, new challenges, and new directions to stimulate the vitality of the digital economy.
In the keynote speech session, experts such as Xin Hongye, Ni Xiangdong, and Liu Zhiyi offered suggestions and suggestions to jointly help the wide application of artificial intelligence technology in the field of ecotourism development. Pan Haobo, Dean of the School of Digital Culture and Tourism of Shanghai International University of Advanced Technology, delivered a keynote speech on "The Underlying Logic of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Cultural Tourism", emphasizing that the digital cultural tourism industry is a new form of innovative integration and development of cultural resources and tourism activities through the use of modern information technology such as big data, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), mixed reality (MR), etc., which has injected new impetus into the sustainable development of the tourism industry. Dr. Hao Fei's reports on "Age-appropriate Metaverse Tourism: Virtual Avatars and Barrier-free Travel" and Professor Wu Guoqing's "Digital Intelligence Empowering the High-quality Development of World-class Eco-Island Tourism" have been well received.
During the event, Xianda Digital Cultural Tourism Industry College and Xianda Ecotourism Research Center cut the ribbon and unveiled, and the national tourism professional planning textbook "B&B Digital Operation Management" edited by Professor Sun Yuqin and edited by Associate Professor Liu Lingao was signed for the first time, marking a new level of professional development of the School of Digital Culture and Tourism of SISU Xianda College.
Through school-enterprise cooperation and integration of industry and education, the School of Digital Culture and Tourism takes the realistic business scenarios in the cultural tourism industry as the experimental teaching space, and through the application of 3 million government special funds, the first phase has built eight exemplary teaching laboratories, including smart scenic spots, digital operation of hotels and B&Bs, digital operation of convention and exhibition activities, digital marketing of cruise ships, immersive script killing, and experience practice of coffee bars and tea art bars.
