One Second: The Philosophy of Meditation

Text/Zhong Yong

Give me a second of silence, give me

A second of the sigh of the sea. And also

The sunset is lazy, yawning, and the eyes are hollow

Look at the void sky. And also

The bird's wings are higher than the clouds, nine days above, and above both eyes

All that is included, all that is. Give me

A bird that takes off, give me, for a second

The silence of all things.

Give me a second, meditate. Cycle of breathing

Frequency of natural pulsations. Slightly trembling.

Except for emptiness, heaven and earth

What's left?
