Sanxingdui secrets are in progress
"Silkworm bushes and fish, the founding of the country is at a loss." Erlai is forty-eight thousand years old, and is not inhabited by Qin Saitong. "Due to the lack of written records, for a long time, the history of ancient Shu seems to be shrouded in clouds and fog. It was not until 1929 that the inadvertent act of Yan Daocheng, a farmer in Guanghan, Sichuan, revealed the "tip of the iceberg" of this mysterious civilization.
In the 1980s, the discovery of two "sacrificial pits" in Sanxingdui proved to the world that in the long years before the emergence of historical records, the Sichuan Basin was not as wild as imagined. Powerful ancient countries once prospered here, and brilliant civilizations also bloomed here.
The Celestial Tree, the Bronze Mask, the Golden Scepter... To whom did these cultural relics, which are very different from the culture of the Central Plains, belong? Where do they come from? Why did it eventually disappear?
In 2019, in the southeast of the trench, which is close to the west side of the No. 2 "sacrifice pit", archaeologists found another 6 "sacrifice pits".
A large number of excavated cultural relics once again prove that the ancient Shu people have an unexpected imagination, creativity and innovative spirit, and also give people more reason to believe that the archaeological work of sanxingdui ruins that has been nearly a hundred years old is still in the "progress" that has not seen the end end...
