The relevant person in charge of Xiaokang Xilis exclusively responded to the Shanghai Securities News reporter on January 5 that Huawei's smart SF5 has not been discontinued, but it has temporarily stopped subscription due to the consideration of delivery timeliness.

Some auto industry experts pointed out that this change shows that the cooperation between Xiaokang and Huawei is adjusting.

The Huawei pedigree of the new car is more pure

Xiaokang co., Ltd. announced on the evening of January 4 that the company's new energy vehicle sales in December 2021 were 6150 vehicles, an increase of 88.71% year-on-year; the cumulative sales volume for the whole year was 41440 vehicles, an increase of 104.39% year-on-year.

Xiaokang also announced on the same day that the company invested in the establishment of Xilisi Electric Company, and the relevant government investment platform company of Chongqing Municipality intends to invest in Xilisi Electric Company; the registered capital of the joint venture company is 2 billion yuan, of which the holding subsidiary Jinkang New Energy intends to invest 900 million yuan.

In this regard, some industry experts have analyzed that attracting state-owned assets to enter the market shows that Xiaokang shares should continue to bet on the smart new energy vehicle brand that cooperates with Huawei.

Although the recent sales data of new energy vehicles released by Xiaokang has shown growth, some consumers have reported that the staff of the delivery center told the owners that the Xilis Huawei Smart SF5 has been discontinued. Some consumers said that the Xilis store has been changed to the AITO brand, Huawei Smart Selection SF5 has suspended bookings, and the exhibition car is sold at a discount, which is a disguised suspension of production.

On the morning of January 5, the Shanghai Securities Daily reporter interviewed a number of Huawei stores in Shanghai that have car sales business to confirm that SF5 has indeed been suspended in stores.

The Cyrus SF5 is the first model cooperated by Xiaokang and Huawei. In April 2021, when the Shanghai International Auto Show came out, there was a news of its "full orders", according to the official order data released by Cyris at that time, the order of the SF5 exceeded 3,000 units in two days and exceeded 6,000 units in a week.

According to the data of the National Passenger Association, from April to November 2021, the sales of the SF5 of Xilix were 129, 204, 1097, 507, 715, 1117, 1926 and 1385, respectively, totaling 7080 vehicles. Xilis relevant people previously told the Shanghai Securities Daily reporter that the AITO M5 has four cities in Shanghai, Shenzhen, Hangzhou and Chengdu that have exhibited cars, and the order exceeded 2,000 vehicles on the 3rd. The Xiaokang factory in Chongqing's Liangjiang New Area is accelerating its full scheduling to achieve large-scale delivery.

The relevant person in charge of Xiaokang Xilis said that the recent relevant rumors are untrue, the Xilis brand has always existed, and Huawei Smart Selection SF5 has not been discontinued, but for the sake of delivery timeliness, Huawei Smart Selection SF5 has indeed temporarily stopped ordering, and the core parts procurement and other conditions to meet the need to restart the subscription will return to normal.

Some industry experts pointed out to the Shanghai Securities Daily reporter that although Huawei has repeatedly reiterated that it will not directly build cars. However, Huawei has actively laid out intelligent electric vehicles through cooperation with traditional car companies such as BAIC, Changan, and Xiaokang Shares, and among them, due to the strong dominance of cooperation, the cooperation between Huawei and Xiaokang shares is the most in-depth, and it can even be said that Xilis is the foundry of Huawei's car, so in the case of limited resources, it is not surprising that Huawei's smart SF5 as a "dry son" gives way to AITU as a "pro-son" M5.
