So they went to the highest point of the battlefield together to inspect.
Wen Qiang said, "I'm going to go and see what's going on." "Running in a military jeep, I suddenly rushed out of the position of the Kuomintang army." When he looked around, how could he not see his soldiers, where had they gone? When he was strange, the adjutant next to him said anxiously:
"Not bad! Run to the communist position!"
Wen Qiang was also anxious: "Quick, go back quickly!"
Fortunately, the PLA did not pursue and did not shoot.
After Wen Qiang picked up a life and returned, Du Yuming said, "Your life is big, and I didn't catch you." ”
At this time, Liu Zhi had not yet left, and said very anxiously: "What day will we fight like this?" A war of attrition has been fought. ”
Wen Qiang said: "If you want to break this formation, you can't beat it to death." ”
Liu Zhi said, "What do you mean by how to play?"
"We are going to pretend to attack head-on, and at least two divisions will be transferred back to the rear to fight, Qiu Qingquan's corps will draw two corps, and Li Mi's corps will draw one army, and we will return to the rear, and take advantage of the dark of this day to fight out and attack inside and outside, and this formation can be broken." The two sides are roundabout, and the siege of Mill Zhuang Wei can be solved. ”

Du Yuming also said, "Why didn't you say it earlier?"
Wen Qiang said: "I didn't see this situation, and I can't say anything about it." ”
Therefore, Du Yuming used the walkie-talkie to find Qiu Qingquan and ordered: "You dispatch two troops and go back to the back!" ”
Qiu Qingquan replied: "My troops have been greatly depleted, if I draw two more troops to detour, I am afraid that my front will not be guaranteed, and once the enemy breaks through from the front, Xuzhou will be difficult to protect!" Then he insisted that he could not execute the order.

The next day, Huang Baitao committed suicide in the battle of Nianzhuangwei.
