Among the war criminals imprisoned by Gong Delin, Wen Qiang was one of the most stubborn war criminals, and when he was captured, his official title was deputy chief of the general staff of the Xuzhou Forward Command Post, and he was captured with Du Yuming in the Battle of Huaihai.
Wen Qiang and Du Yuming had a good personal relationship, and his deputy chief of the general staff was invited by Du Yuming, but the performance of the war criminals was very different from Thatu Yuming, du Yuming was pardoned out of prison in 1959, and Wen Qiang was not pardoned until the last batch of amnesties in 1975.
Because Wen Qiang is not a famous general, he did not make any contributions during the anti-Japanese and liberation periods, people are almost unfamiliar with him, but this Wen Qiang is not a nameless person, his identity is very special, his real identity is enough to shock people, or even dare not believe.
Wen Qiang is a native of Changsha County, Hunan Province, according to genealogical records, he is the 23rd grandson of Wen Tianxiang, his father followed Mr. Zhongshan in his early years, his aunt is Wen Qimei, and Mao Zeqin is a cousin, the two once went south to Guangzhou together to apply for the Whampoa Military Academy.
In 1925, Wen Qiang, who went to Guangzhou, participated in the peasant movement and joined our party, during his time at the Whampoa Military Academy, he was the squad leader of Lin Zong, which shows the depth of Wen Qiang's seniority, in August 1927, he followed the troops to participate in the Nanchang Uprising, and later returned to his hometown Changsha for three months to hide.
When he came out to look for the organization, he found that there was no trace of the organization, in order to contact the organization as soon as possible, in 1928, he entered Sichuan to look for the party organization, and finally took over the organizational relationship in Chengdu, and achieved remarkable results in Sichuan Wenqiang, and was promoted to the commander of the Red 1st Division.
At that time, Wen Qiang was very famous in Sichuan, he had led the Red Army work in 23 counties of Sichuan, but an unfortunate thing happened, which mistakenly interrupted his revolutionary future, when Wen Qiang was betrayed by traitors, arrested and imprisoned, and later rescued by the underground party.
According to the regulations, he needed to report to his superiors on the process of escape, and when he reported, because he was misunderstood by the Sichuan Provincial Party Committee, he was given the punishment of staying in the party for one year, at that time Wen Qiang felt wronged, so he felt that he went out of Sichuan to go to the Central Military Commission to complain, but did not find the party organization.
Later, under the introduction of Cheng Qian and Zhang Zhizhong's Huangpu instructors, he joined the Kuomintang and embarked on a road of no return, Wen Qiang even entered the military command, was appointed by Dai Kasa as the colonel of the Shanghai office of the secret service, and became the chief of the North China office in 1942.
The only meritorious thing Wen Qiang did during the Anti-Japanese Period was to reverse the pseudo-military policy of nearly a million traitors in North China and Northeast China, so he was promoted to lieutenant general, and it was not until after Dai Kasa's death that Wen Qiang gradually broke away from military command, and in September 1948, he was invited by Du Yuming to Xuzhou to take up a post.
Later captured in the Battle of Huaihai, he refused to write a letter of repentance in prison, passively accepted reform, and was imprisoned for 26 years, until 1975, when he was pardoned, and after his release, Wen Qiang served as a commissioner of literature and history until his death on October 22, 2001, at the age of 94.
