Crossing the border and leaving their homeland, they entered a no-man's land, hundreds of miles away from a primeval forest, under the action of the tropical rainforest climate, the trees grew particularly luxuriant, the climate was humid, there were flying insects and wild animals everywhere, and even poisonous snakes wrapped around the branches of the trees, spitting letters at the people on the ground.
The group of men and horses struggled through the primeval forest, the soldiers cut off the branches with knives and carved out a path in front, they moved extremely slowly, and people kept falling in the middle, and they could never stay, and they could get the hope of survival a day earlier by leaving the no-man's land.

Without the support of the party-state and impossible to defect to the People's Liberation Army, Li Guohui and others simply did not stop doing nothing, and set up camp here to become the king of the mountains. One day in April 1950, Li Guohui and several other leaders combined the troops in their hands, and Li Guohui announced in his capacity as commander-in-chief that the "General Headquarters of the Republic of China's Revival Force" was established.
Subsequently, armed forces such as scattered soldiers and bandits who fled from Yunnan came to their aid, and Li Guohui's troops quickly expanded to more than 3,000 people, becoming the largest armed force in the border area of Laos, Myanmar and Thailand.
After stabilizing, Li Guohui commanded the soldiers to build houses and open up fields to ensure the basic livelihood of everyone. In order to make more money, the army will escort the local caravans in peacetime and earn extra money. But with a team of more than 3,000 people, these benefits are far from enough.
In order to get money faster, Li Guohui engaged in crooked ways and participated in opium trafficking, and when he came and went, the army's life was obviously much better, and the quality of life also improved. It is said that it is difficult to enter the frugality from luxury, and gradually, Li Guohui is no longer satisfied with only selling drugs. He began to grow his own drugs in the local area, and then sold them, and it did not take long for him to establish a perfect drug industry chain and become an internationally famous drug lord.
In order to develop in Burma for a long time, he encouraged soldiers to marry the local residents, and his subordinates even formed an in-law relationship with the local datusi, so that the remnants of Li Guohui's army gradually gained a foothold in a foreign country.
Later, Li Guohui's ranks grew day by day, becoming the largest armed force in Burma, the movement was too big, attracted the attention of the Burmese government, in May, Burma sent 6,000 troops, plus 3 artillery companies and a company of chariots to Li Guohui issued an ultimatum to Li Guohui, asking them to surrender their weapons and leave Burma.
Li Guohui was not afraid of this at all, he believed that his army could not defeat the People's Liberation Army, and could not defeat a newly independent Burma. Go to war. This battle was indeed as Li Guohui expected, and the remnants of the Nationalist army of more than 3,000 people fought the Burmese army and fled in a hurry, and even if the army commander-in-chief, General Ne Win, personally commanded, he could not repel Li Guohui.
This battle attracted the attention of Chiang Kai-shek, who did not expect that the strength of these wandering scattered troops in foreign countries was so strong, and in order to "counterattack the mainland", Chiang Kai-shek decided to use this team, so he sent Li Mi to take over and gave him a lot of power.
Although Li Mi is Li Guohui's old boss, Li Guohui is now an internationally renowned figure, and he worries that the transfer of power will not be so easy. However, After all, Li Guohui was also a regular soldier from the Whampoa Military Academy, and after hearing Chiang Kai-shek's order, he immediately gave up his position and flew back to Taiwan.
