Huang Fang was born in 1982 in Shengzhou, Zhejiang. He graduated from the Affiliated High School of China Academy of Art in 2002, and both studied flowers and birds in the Department of Chinese Painting of China Academy of Art, and obtained a master's degree in 2009. He stayed on to teach in 2010. He is currently a teacher at the School of Chinese Painting and Calligraphy of the China Academy of Art, a member of the Zhejiang Artists Association, a member of the Zhejiang Flower and Bird Painters Association, and a creator of the China Gongbi Painting Research Institute of the Zhejiang Academy of Painting.
Huang Fang, a young painter at the China Academy of Fine Arts, is like a hermit living in the West Lake, always wanting to quietly weave that kind of exquisite mystery that is difficult to capture into his own world of flowers and birds. Her works rarely use brushes that run in all directions and inks, but paint evenly and smoothly, Anya is comfortable, occasionally with a little flickering, giving people a glimpse of light and shadow, as if the water waves of the West Lake, in the strange and unsurpassed, immovable and unquiet to illuminate the wind and color of the four seasons. These paintings are not only worked on the similarity, skill, the fullness and vividness of the objects, and the beautiful lonely standards that retreat behind the paper silk, but also can be seen that the painter is trying to swing the trend of the times, to pursue the ancient heart of Xi Xian, like the West Lake, gradually revealing her lightness and subtlety, showing her spirit in the delicate depiction; even if the pen and ink are not yet old, its ambition is about to be clear, elegant in a furnace, not to take a cold and arrogant posture, like the West Lake, to make people close and not to be vulgar.
The mountains and rivers under the world are famous enough to rival the West Lake, and their beautiful literary heart has never surpassed the West Lake. Today's painting world can penetrate the beauty of the West Lake, and instead propose its wind god and occasionally get the pen in the painting, which is not enough. I believe that Huang Fang's painting art will eventually grow naturally like the West Lake, becoming more and more profound, so that the Fenghua people can see their own abundance, the quiet people see their own tranquility, and the stone is lonely, which can be touching. At that time, the viewer remembers Dongpo's poem: "Talking will try to see the eyes, do not look at two things." "Will you also be as happy as I am, and smile heartily?"
