Story: During the Warring States period, the eunuch of the State of Zhao, Ling Xian's protégé Lin Xiang, was sent by the King of Zhao to take rare treasures and clan bi out to the Qin Kingdom. With wisdom and courage, he returned to Zhao, was appreciated by King Zhao, and was named Shang Dafu. Later, the King of Qin proposed to meet king Zhao at Shichi in order to force king Zhao to submit. The generals Lin Xiangru and Lian po urged King Zhao to attend, and devised a clever plan, Lian Po gave the King of Qin the pressure of troop strength with courage and good fighting, and Lin Xiangru saved King Zhao from humiliation and returned to the Zhao kingdom safely with his three inches of incorruptible tongue and loyalty to King Zhao. In recognition of Lin Xiangru, King Zhao made him Shangqing(上卿), which was higher than the official position of General Lianpo. He thought that he was brave and good at fighting, fighting for the front line for Zhao Guo, and was the first great hero, while Lin Xiangru only relied on one mouth, and actually ranked above himself. Lian Po was very unconvinced, and he was determined to humiliate him well. When Lin Xiangru heard this news, he avoided meeting Lian Po at every turn. When it came to the day of the shang dynasty, it was said that he could not get sick. Once, Lin Xiangru went out and met Lian Po. Lian Po ordered his subordinates to block Lin Xiangru's road with various methods, and finally Lin Xiangru had to order him to return to his home. Lian Po was even more proud and preached about it everywhere. Lin Xiangru's disciples heard about it and offered to go home one after another, and Lin Xiangru asked why, and they said, "We do things for you because we admire you as a truly noble gentleman, but now you actually swallow your arrogance and honesty, and we can't stand it?" I am not even afraid of the King of Qin, so how can I be afraid of Lianpo? The State of Qin does not dare to invade now, but is only afraid that I and General Lian are protecting the State of Zhao with one article and one weapon, and as the right and left arm of the King of Zhao, how can I disregard the state's Jiangshan Sheji because of my small personal grievances?" When Lian Po heard this, he was very ashamed, so he opened his chest and carried a thorn on his back to ask Lin Xiangru for his sins. Since then, they have become good friends who share the same life and death and hardships, and work together to serve the country.
