Beijing, December 24 (China News Network) -- The "National Art Museum of China Collection Revitalization Series Exhibition: Heavy And High- Yu Youren and Gao Ershi Calligraphy Exhibition" is being exhibited at the National Art Museum of China. More than 20 calligraphy works by Yu Ren and Gao Er are interesting, reflecting that the two book masters lead the way with different styles of calligraphy, they come from different backgrounds, their circumstances are different, their teachers are inherited, and they have different methods, but they have worked hard and achieved outstanding results in their respective fields of exploration.
Yu Youren was a 20th-century politician, educator, and calligrapher. His calligraphy is written into the grass with a stele, melting and casting hundreds of families, forming a majestic and mellow, dashing and natural artistic style, known as the "Three Plains Grass Sage". He founded the Standard Cursive Society, which made a systematic and standardized summary of the cursive writing of the past generations, and established the cursive writing standard, benefiting future generations and making great contributions.
The second year of high school is a famous scholar, poet and calligrapher of the 20th century, who is a scholar of Chinese culture, Xiaochang Zhouyi, poetry, and academics, and is especially good at calligraphy. He wrote the article "Refutation of the Authenticity and Falsity of the Lanting Preface" and argued with Mr. Guo Moruo that the "Lanting Preface" was not fake, and this controversy was that Chairman Mao Zedong approved of the publication of the article of gao Ershi with "pen and ink lawsuits, better than nothing", which caused great repercussions in the literary world.

Mr. Yu Youren and Mr. Ershi of High School are friends who have forgotten their years, and Mr. Yu Right ren is more than 20 years old. The second year of high school was supposed to give more than ten poems at the Dragon Boat Festival and Chongyang Festival in 1947, which shows that the friendship between the two has a long history. In 1973, the second year of high school wrote a poem "Self-created Cursive Genealogy Will Be Completed, Mourning in the Hair" to express his longing for it: "Mihara praised my book as the master, and my poetry book is always the world' praise." Through this exhibition, the audience can not only witness the reunion of the calligraphy art of the two confidants of Youren and Gao Ershi at the National Art Museum of China, but also further appreciate the charm of calligraphy art in the 20th century and the academic ideals and literati spirit of the calligraphers.
According to reports, in recent years, the National Art Museum of China has held special exhibitions for the two gentlemen, which have been well received by all walks of life, with a wide and far-reaching influence: in May 2015, the "Suitable for Me - High School Second Suitable Ink Exhibition" was launched, and the exhibition showed his calligraphy art and human style with more than 170 works; in May 2018, "For wanshi kai Taiping - Yu Youren Calligraphy Works Exhibition" was exhibited at the National Art Museum of China, and the exhibition exhibited nearly 100 carefully selected calligraphy works, comprehensively displaying the artistic life of Youren.
In 2020, in the "Tribute to Donors - Exhibition of Works Donated by the National Art Museum of China", Yu Ren's cursive couplet "Heavenly Opening, Great Profit and Crowd" was displayed in a prominent position in the rotunda, attracting attention. Mr. Gao Ershi's cursive representative work "Liu Zhen's First Song" is also exhibited in the exhibition, and it is as if he sees his characters.
Wu Weishan, director of the National Art Museum of China, said that the study of them is to inquire about the essence of calligraphy; to deeply study the true meaning of literature to transform people and art to preach; and to further understand the meaning of the Chinese aesthetic spirit through the relationship between people and works.
"Heavy and High- Calligraphy Exhibition of Yu Right Ren and Senior High School" is presented in the Kaiqu Hall (Hall 18) of the National Art Museum of China and will be on display until January 3, 2022. (End)
