The Prajnaparamita Heart Sutra, abbreviated as the Heart Sutra, is one of the buddhist Mahayana texts with the shortest text and the most profound and subtle interpretation of the truth. It distills the essence from the Prajnaparamita Sutra. In just two hundred and sixty words, the essence of the six hundred volumes of the Great Prajnaparamita Sutra is condensed. It is rumored that the copying of the Heart Sutra not only purifies the soul, but also helps to accumulate merit, so successive princes and generals, high-ranking monks, calligraphers, and writers have all favored it.
Yu Youren wrote this sutra in 1944 at the age of 65. As we all know, Yu Lao is good at poetry and calligraphy, and the "standard cursive" created by him is highly respected by writers at home and abroad. It can be said that he is an insurmountable peak in the history of modern Chinese calligraphy and is admired by everyone.

Yu Lao is good at the combination of Wei Stele and Xingshu and Zhang cao, which is known as "Contemporary Caosheng", "Modern Calligraphy Sage", and together with Wang Xizhi and Yan Zhenqing, it is called "Three Milestones in the History of Chinese Calligraphy".

His attempt to arouse the awakening of the Chinese nation by virtue of words can be reflected in a poem he wrote, "Toward the stone gate inscription, twilight writes twenty products, hard work is combined, night and night tears wet pillow." Otherwise, if you are just practicing calligraphy, how can you "wet pillow night and night"?

He once said: "Those who have lofty ideals should take it as their duty to benefit mankind, and poetry and calligraphy should be left to the ear." However, the rest of the matter must also be self-reliant. Learn from the ancients without being limited by the ancients. ”

It was in this way that he was able to make a choice of personal aesthetic principles and form his own calligraphy, which was able to "stand on its own two feet" in the history of a thousand years of books. ”

In his later years, cursive writing entered the realm of divinity, and the words were strange and dangerous, and there was no one else. Just like this, in his pen, the cursive fused chapter grass, this grass, and the wild grass in one furnace, sometimes in a smooth and long shape, sometimes in a dangerous situation, sometimes tightly glued to the theme, sometimes indulgent and out of the loop echo, majestic and magnificent, elegant, simple and simple, giving people a sense of manners.

He put the principle of standard cursive "easy to read, easy to write, accurate and beautiful" into practice, and the pen was casual, the words were different, the size was oblique, and it was just right. Its knot weight is low, and it uses a pen to store momentum implicitly, and it is fascinating.
[Not born, not destroyed, not dirty, not pure, not increasing]
Looking closely at this "Heart Sutra", Yu Lao can be said to have reached the ultimate perfection of cursive writing, and the pen walked the dragon and snake in one go. He has modified and innovated the ancient cursive, this one is more of a round pen, more suitable for our study of cursive, reducing a lot of pen pressing.

Yu Lao's character and books are highly respected, and he has a strong influence in the last century, and some people have commented on his words "Mr. A pen is better than 100,000 Mauser guns", which shows the great influence of his influence. Chairman Mao was once Yu Lao's number one fan, and he admired Yu Youren's talent for many years, once commenting on it as "the stroke of God." He was extremely fond of his calligraphy and repeatedly entrusted people to collect his works extensively.

In 1949, Yu Youren was "wrapped up" in Taiwan because of the Kuomintang's emergency withdrawal from the mainland. So far, he has been depressed every day, often looking into the distance, looking forward to returning to his homeland one day. In August 1964, Yu Right Ren became seriously ill. His old subordinate Yang Lianggong visited him at the Taipei Veterans General Hospital. Yu Youren wanted to talk to him but couldn't speak out due to illness. So Yu Youren first extended a finger, and then extended three fingers, Yang Lianggong guessed several answers were rejected by his shaking head, helplessly Yang Lianggong had to tell him to inquire later. Who knew that Yu Youren's illness was getting worse and worse day by day, and he once fell into a coma. He died in November 1964 at the age of 86.
He did not leave any last words, and the people put his "Looking at the Continent" "Bury me on the high mountain, look at my continent." The mainland is invisible, only crying. Bury me on the top of the mountain, look at my hometown. The hometown is invisible and can never be forgotten. The sky is clear and the wilderness is vast; on the mountain, the state is dead. A poem, as his will.
Later, Lu Hao, a veteran newspaperman, felt that Yu Youren's "one finger, three fingers" meant: "In the future, When China is unified, he will transport his coffin back to the mainland and bury him in his hometown of Sanyuan County, Shaanxi." ”
