For our last dinner in Taiyuan, we chose the famous "Hao Gang Haggis Cut" in Liu Lane.
After visiting the Old Governor's Mansion in Taiyuan on Fuxi Avenue, we came to Liu Lane, a few hundred meters away. The purpose of coming here is to eat haggis, and "Hao Gang Haggis Cut" is quite famous in Taiyuan.
In the old days, the gate of the Overseer's Mansion was quite a bit of the grandeur of Xinhua Gate. Now, it is completely civilian, just a Jinshang Museum.
"Hao just cut haggis" is on the west side of the north entrance of Liu Lane. It was around 17:50 when we went, the evening market had not yet started, and diners lined up along the street.
Dinner at Taiyuan's large restaurant seems to start at 6 o'clock. This was the case yesterday when we ate Jin cuisine in a long-established restaurant. Although we were allowed to sit in the store, no one came to say hello and said it was less than 6 o'clock. This is not good for attracting customers. However, it is advantageous to ensure the rights and interests of employees and to make their working hours within the time specified in the labor law.
At 6 o'clock, the line moved slowly forward, and we finally entered the store and saw the food price tag in the store:
I don't know if there is another kitchen in the store. As soon as I entered the gate, I saw a large cauldron on the right side with a whole lamb bone boiling. The lamb and haggis are cooked and divided into bowls. The shop guy took out a bowl of lamb or haggis and put it in a large spoon and boiled it in a large pot for two minutes, then poured it into the sea bowl and filled it with lamb bone broth.
We have no experience, just look at how the diners in front of us order food.
Feeling that one person could not eat the large bowl of lamb or haggis, the two only ordered a bowl of haggis, plus two shortbread and two twist flowers. A total of 29 yuan. I wanted to ask the store for a bowl to split a haggis soup into two portions. Who knew that we had just put the food on the table, and a young fellow brought a bowl of lamb bone soup and said: The boss asked me to send you another bowl of soup, which is really touching.
We also don't know how the locals enjoy this haggis soup and bread. And our way of eating is shown in the picture above.
This haggis soup is not half flavorful, it is very delicious. It tastes so good to soak twist flowers and cakes in this soup.
The two spent a total of 29 yuan, not much money, and their stomachs were swollen.
