Trumpchi GS8, which once took the lead in breaking through the "price ceiling", is one of the representatives. Recently, GAC Trumpchi's new second-generation GS8 was listed, with a price range of 186,800-246,800 yuan. The new car launched a total of six model configuration options of the Pilot Series and the Dual Engine Series, it is worth noting that the Twin Engine Series of the new car is equipped with 2.0TM + the new fourth-generation enhanced version of the THS II. Toyota Hybrid System, and the Pilot Series is equipped with the 2.0T GDI + Aisin Third Generation 8AT + AVDC Shadow Rider Gold Dynamic Control Combination.

In terms of styling, the new second-generation GS8 has two kinds of grille shapes, "Spread Wings" and "Dragon Scale Wings", which are full of visual impact. The new car has added two new colors, ink seal green and floating oxygen blue, unlocking new color choices for the Yan Control Party. The large space leading the same level also brings a flexible and changeable pattern of six seats and seven seats to the new second-generation GS8.

In terms of power, the new second-generation GS8 Pilot Series is equipped with a 2.0T+ Aisin 8AT powertrain, and the maximum torque of the engine is 400N·m. At the same time, the dual engine series is the world's first model to use a 2.0T turbocharged engine with Toyota THS hybrid technology, its zero hundred acceleration is 6.9 seconds, and the fuel consumption per 100 kilometers is only 5.3L.

"These two powertrains combine driving pleasure with economic fuel consumption to meet the needs of thousands of people." Qi Hongzhong, deputy director of the PowerTrain Center of GAC Research Institute, told reporters that when the engine is below 4,000 rpm, the new car can obtain greater power and torque output, and the engine noise and acceleration are more competitive advantages.

As the leader of Chinese brand high-end SUVs, the first generation of GS8 once took the lead in breaking the price ceiling of 200,000 yuan. Some analysts believe that as the first landing model of GAC Trumpchi's "intelligent + hybrid" dual-core drive strategy, the new second-generation GS8 is destined to "have a long way to go".
