Huawei completes the three ecological layouts of smart cars, who is the "big winner" among the 300 partners?

On December 21, Huawei held the "2021 Huawei Intelligent Vehicle Solution Ecosystem Forum" in the form of online live broadcast.

At the meeting, Yu Chengdong, Managing Director of Huawei, CEO of Consumer BG, and CEO of Huawei Intelligent Vehicle Solution BU, said: "Huawei adheres to the 'platform + ecology' strategy, in the field of intelligent vehicles, based on new electrical and electronic architectures, new platforms, Huawei launched the intelligent vehicle digital platform iDVP, intelligent driving computing platform MDC, harmonyOS intelligent cockpit, providing three digital bases and development tools for smart cars, making the development of partners more convenient and efficient. Bring consumers a smart travel experience. Huawei looks forward to more partners joining the ecosystem of intelligent evolution, jointly accelerating the evolution of intelligent vehicles, and bringing the digital world to every vehicle. ”

According to Wang Jun, chief operating officer of Huawei's intelligent vehicle solution BU and president of the intelligent driving solution product line, Huawei has developed about 300 partners in the field of intelligent vehicles, and the development speed has exceeded expectations. More than 300 partners have also appeared in a number of listed companies, and 57 partners have become huawei's core suppliers in the field of smart vehicles.

Complete the layout of the three major ecological fields

As Yu Chengdong said, Huawei has completed its layout in three major areas: the intelligent vehicle digital platform iDVP, the intelligent driving computing platform MDC, and the HarmonyOS intelligent cockpit.

Cai Jianyong, general manager of intelligent vehicle control at Huawei's smart car solution BU, pointed out, "With the advent of software-defined cars, the complexity of software and hardware is getting higher and higher, posing a severe challenge to the automotive industry. Hierarchical decoupling, open collaboration, and win-win cooperation are the foundation for the intelligent automobile industry to become bigger and stronger. ”

It is understood that in the digital architecture of intelligent vehicles, Huawei provides the basic elements of the intelligent vehicle digital platform, iDVP, including the computing and communication architecture CCA, the on-board operating system, the multi-domain collaborative software framework HAS Core and the perfect vehicle-level tool chain, builds a hardware ecology and software ecology, jointly defines hardware interfaces and software interfaces with partners, jointly develops atomic services, realizes the hierarchical decoupling of software and hardware, and helps car companies quickly develop cross-manufacturer and cross-device applications to bring users a continuous evolutionary experience.

At the same time, Huawei is building an open MDC intelligent driving computing platform, which aims to accelerate the development of intelligent driving. It is understood that MDC provides developers with a tool chain and rich SDK covering all scenarios, supports the software development and porting of partners, and meets the core requirements of intelligent driving applications for vehicle regulations and safety. At present, more than 70 partners have joined the MDC ecosystem to jointly promote the pilot and commercialization of intelligent driving scenarios such as passenger cars, ports, mining cards, and parks.

Li Zhenya, general manager of the BU MDC field of Huawei's intelligent vehicle solution, pointed out: "Intelligent driving is a brand new industry, as the standard-bearer of the platform standardization of the intelligent driving industry, I often think about the standardized division of labor, technology development paths, business models and other regularity issues in the industry, and I firmly believe that only platform standardization, collaborative innovation and the establishment of an industrial ecology can make the intelligent driving industry go wider and wider, faster and faster, and go farther and farther." ”

Xu Wei, director of the Intelligent Driving Technology Department of GAC Research Institute, revealed, "GAC and Huawei have cooperated since 2017 and will release a number of strategic models based on Huawei's MDC in the next three years. ”

In addition, Huawei has also built a HarmonyOS smart cockpit ecosystem to innovate with partners and build diversified experiences. Huawei aims at hardware modularization, interface standardization, and system platforming, and builds an intelligent cockpit ecosystem around the HarmonyOS vehicle-machine operating system, and Huawei has incrementally developed 9 types of vehicle enhancement capabilities on the HarmonyOS operating system, opened 14,500+ HarmonyOS and car domain incremental development APIs, and provided comprehensive and open tools and technical support to reduce the integration and development difficulty of the cockpit system, and help partners quickly develop and migrate applications. Bring users a rich experience of human and car life.

Wang Qingwen, General Manager of the Smart Cockpit Field of Huawei Intelligent Vehicle Solution BU, said: "Openness and integration, gathering the crowd and going far. Integrating the cockpit into the ubiquitous intelligent world is a common vision for us and our partners. ”

With the blessing of HarmonyOS seamless circulation Kit, Himalaya's public version of the car machine application has realized the content synchronization of Hongmeng OS multi-terminal devices and no sense switching. Through HarmonyOS, Changshu Auto Accessories Group has opened up a health management system solution for smart cockpits and personal wear, and jointly innovated with Huawei to bring a comprehensive upgrade of audiovisual perception to the cockpit.

It is worth mentioning that Huawei also announced the "star flash technology" to redefine vehicle wireless short-range communication. According to the official website of the Star Flash Alliance, the Alliance was established in September 2020, which is committed to promoting the innovation and industrial ecology development of a new generation of wireless short-range communication technology, carrying smart cars, smart homes, smart terminals and intelligent manufacturing and other scenario applications.

Up to now, there are more than 140 member units, covering the whole industry chain upstream and downstream enterprises in 4 major scenarios, involving A-share companies: NavInfo, OFILM, Goertek, Guoke Micro, BDStar, Changan Automobile, Dongfeng Motor, SAIC Group, Guangzhou Automobile Group, etc.

57 partners become "winners"

At the forum, Huawei also announced that the Huawei Intelligent Vehicle Solution Innovation Center (hereinafter referred to as the "Innovation Center") was officially put into use.

Located in Huawei's Suzhou Research Institute, the Innovation Center will be open to automotive customers and partners for joint development, testing, verification, and display of results. Huawei will provide technical training and laboratory environments for partners, follow the principles of openness, cooperation, and win-win results, jointly promote joint innovation, cultivate talents, and achieve business success in smart vehicles, and work together to help car companies build "good cars."

In order to thank many partners for their trust and support to Huawei, Huawei held the "2021 Huawei Intelligent Vehicle Solution Excellent Partner Appreciation" event online, and a total of 57 partners became "winners".

Among them, in addition to scientific research institutes and universities, most of the mainstream domestic software and hardware companies are involved.
