"Last year and this year, the cumulative retail sales of new energy vehicles in Sanya increased with a growth rate of 75.4% and 246% respectively." Sun Qidong, deputy director of the Sanya Municipal Bureau of Commerce, introduced that new energy vehicles have been greatly developed in Sanya.

In the keynote speech, Zeng Wei, bydir Regional Manager, and Li Mai, Head of Hainan Regional Public Affairs of NIO Automobile, made keynote speeches on "Strong Chinese Vehicles Moving Toward New" and "NIO's Innovative Service Model and Community Operation System".

"It is expected that from 2021 to 2023, it will be a golden period for the development of new energy vehicles, and it will also attract more independent brands and joint venture brands to participate in new energy brands, forming a situation of 'hundreds of schools of thought' for new energy vehicles." Zeng Wei said that in November 2021, Hainan's new energy penetration rate reached 33.95% (excluding taxis and online ride-hailing vehicles), and the acceptance of new energy vehicles was further improved. Li Mai said that Weilai is very optimistic about the Hainan market and will promote more substations to land in Hainan. At the same time, WEILAI community operation system will also provide more high-quality services for Hainan users.

"The awareness of ordinary consumers about new energy vehicles is rapidly increasing, and the acceptance is generally increasing." Zou Tiantian, head of the industrial section of the Sanya Municipal Bureau of Science, Industry and Information Technology, said that in recent years, Sanya attaches great importance to the development of new energy vehicles, introduced a series of industrial support policies, actively cooperated with leading enterprises in related fields, and relied on the policy advantages of Hainan Free Trade Port to gather high-quality talents and technical resources. In the future, Sanya will use existing incentive measures to reduce the cost of car purchase, guide residents to travel green, continue to release the consumption potential of new energy vehicles, and continuously accelerate the construction of charging and replacing power stations to create conditions for the wide application of new energy vehicles.
