In 2021, the growth rate of new energy vehicle ownership in Hainan will reach 91%, ranking first in the country

In recent years, with the popularity of new energy vehicles, the number of new energy vehicles in major provinces and cities has increased significantly, of which Hainan has promoted a total of 58,700 new energy vehicles in 2021, an increase of 88% year-on-year, and 235% of the progress of completing the annual promotion target, and the number of new energy vehicles in the province has reached 122,400, with a growth rate of 91%, ranking first in the country.

By the end of 2021, Hainan Province's personal field to promote new energy vehicles reached 48,400 units, accounting for 82.4% of the total promotion; the proportion of new energy vehicle ownership increased to 7.2%, up 3% year-on-year, and the market penetration rate increased to 25.8%. In March 2019, Hainan Province promulgated and implemented the "Hainan Provincial Clean Energy Vehicle Development Plan", becoming the first region in the country to propose a "ban on the sale of fuel vehicles" timetable in 2030 and a roadmap for clean energy for vehicles in all segments, which may be directly related to the large increase in ownership.

At the same time, Hainan Province has carried out 18 new energy vehicle activities in 12 cities and counties for two consecutive years, and the turnover of new energy vehicles going to the countryside in 2021 will reach 170 million yuan, and the top 5 cities and counties that have completed the promotion task are Dongfang, Qiongzhong, Baisha, Sanya and Lingshui, with completion rates of 1280%, 737%, 501%, 316% and 281% respectively. In addition, by the end of 2021, Hainan Province has built more than 40,000 charging piles, maintaining a new energy vehicle-to-pile ratio of 2.4:1.
