The commanders of the four major corps of the Kuomintang 'General Suppression General' army in the northeast did not run away in the end

The northeast, basically the coldest place in China, is where the chicken's head rises and is the first key to determining the fate of the republic. During the Liberation War, both the Kuomintang and the Communists invariably saw the importance of the northeast. In order to seize the northeast, the Kuomintang set up the northeast "Suppression General" headquarters.

The headquarters is commanded by Wei Lihuang and has four major corps under its jurisdiction. So, who are the commanders of these four corps? How did they end up? First of all, the first corps, commander Zheng Dongguo, this has long been a big name.

In the later stages of the Liberation War, Zheng Dongguo's First Corps of 100,000 troops was besieged in Changchun for half a year. That's basically to the point of exhaustion. A city, isolated from the outside world for so long without being able to produce food on its own, has long been paralyzed.

Zheng Dongguo was helpless, and at the last moment, he wanted to break through, but the brothers were not willing to resist any longer. If you continue to resist, you will either die in battle or starve to death, and it is better to give up resistance. Zheng Dongguo surrendered in this way, and he lived until his death in 1991 at the age of 88.

Then there was the Sixth Corps. The First Corps was alone in Changchun, and the Sixth Corps was trapped in Jinzhou. Jinzhou? Oh, we know this, Commander Van Han Jie. Fei Ye, Fan Hanjie was the commander of the Jinzhou garrison, and the commander of the Sixth Corps was Lu Junquan.

In the eyes of many people, the Kuomintang troops in the northeast are all concubines, and the Kuomintang generals in the northeast are all trump cards. Not necessarily. For example, this Lu Junquan, he is not Chiang Kai-shek's concubine, he is a general of the Dian Army, and he was helplessly transferred by Chiang Kai-shek to the northeast battlefield.

Lu Junquan held out in Jinzhou to the end and chose to break through. Instead, he fled the city, ran to a sorghum field, and burrowed into the grass shed. However, this was not the way to go, Jinzhou had been liberated, and the surrounding area of Jinzhou was not safe, so Lu Junquan continued to flee forward, and as a result, he was captured. Luckily, Lu junquan was granted amnesty in 1959 and died in 1979 at the age of 80.

Then there was the Eighth Corps, commander Zhou Fucheng, not Chow Tai Fook. Like Lu Junquan, Zhou Fucheng was not a concubine of Chiang Kai-shek, he was a native of Shenyang, Liaoning Province, and a general of the Northeast Army. Zhou Fucheng was not a concubine of Chiang Kai-shek, but he also participated in the capture of Chiang Kai-shek during the Xi'an Incident.

For reasons that are well known, the Northeast Army's miscellaneous card was not welcomed by Chiang Kai-shek, and even at home it was discriminated against. If you retreat without a fight, what kind of soldier will you be? Zhou Fucheng was once under the command of Chiang Kai-shek's concubine troops and was treated coldly.

If this is the case, why should we fight for Chiang Kai-shek's life? Because Zhou Fucheng met a person, he was Wei Lihuang, and Wei Lihuang was also a miscellaneous card. Miscellaneous cards and miscellaneous cards are of course a one-shot deal. Wei Lihuang promoted Zhou Fucheng very much, and Zhou Fucheng followed Wei Lihuang to the northeast.

At the last moment, his subordinates advised him to revolt, but Zhou Fucheng refused, and he could not apologize for Wei Lihuang's kindness. Zhou Fucheng chose to escape, and was captured during the escape. In 1953, Zhou Fucheng was freed, but died that year.

Finally, the Ninth Corps, the commander is the famous Liao Yaoxiang. Liao Yaoxiang was not tall, but his talent was extremely high, and his military theory was profound. Unfortunately, in the northeast battlefield, Liao Yaoxiang's army was in a useless place for a long time, and could only be passively beaten.

At the end of the Liaoshen Campaign, Liao Yaoxiang's army was destroyed, and he himself chose to flee, of course, he did not run away. During the transformation, Liao Yaoxiang seemed to be outstanding, he liked to read, could recite Marx's "Critique of the Gotha Program", and was highly talented, right?

In 1961, Liao Yaoxiang was granted amnesty in the third batch. In 1968, Liao Yaoxiang died of a heart attack at the age of 62.
