Gansu (Lanzhou) International Dry Port Courtesy of ZhongxinWang Lanzhou, December 17 (Yang Na Duping) Reporter learned from Gansu (Lanzhou) International Dry Port on the 17th that the first batch of complete vehicles imported by Lanzhou International Port District Investment and Development Co., Ltd. recently landed under the supervision of Lanzhou Customs for customs clearance, ending the history that the import of complete vehicles in Gansu Province must be transferred from coastal ports.

This is the first batch of imported vehicles operated by Lanzhou Automobile Import Port after passing the acceptance, the first parallel import vehicle business clearance of the "National VI" standard in northwest China this year, and the first batch of imported vehicles in Gansu Province.

It is understood that the first batch of imported vehicles started from Duisburg, Germany, carrying China-Europe express trains from the Dostyk port in Kazakhstan, and after customs clearance, they were transported in groups to Lanzhou Dry Port. The whole process runs for 18 days, saving nearly 30 days compared with traditional sea ro-ro shipping.

The direct import of complete vehicles from Lanzhou Automobile Import Port effectively compresses the intermediate links of vehicle imports, reduces the purchase, operation and logistics costs of complete vehicles, helps automobile manufacturers to respond to market demand in a more rapid manner, meet customer needs with more accurate services, and on the basis of improving the competitiveness of enterprises and benefiting end consumers, carries out two-way international cooperation for the automobile industry in Gansu Province and contributes to the new pattern of "double-cycle" economic development.

On October 9, 2018, the General Office of the State Council approved the Lanzhou Railway Container Depot as the vehicle import port; on March 24, 2020, the Lanzhou Automobile Import Port successfully passed the acceptance, filling the gap in the import business of the whole vehicle in Gansu Province. On July 1, 2020, the National VI emission standards for light vehicles were implemented nationwide, and the development of the national parallel import vehicle business entered a bottleneck period.

Under such conditions, Lanzhou Dry Port actively introduces operating enterprises, vigorously dredges business channels, efficiently handles process blockages, and explores the use of the "bonded + vehicle port" linkage operation mode to achieve a breakthrough of "0 to 1" in the vehicle import business.

In the next step, Lanzhou Dry Port will systematically introduce policy support measures, send business backbones to follow the shift, cooperate with the customs department to improve the efficiency of customs clearance, strive to achieve "1 to N" normal operation of vehicle imports as soon as possible, further improve the basic service function of railway ports, expand the scale of international freight train operations, promote the rapid development of regional automobile trade, and help Gansu build an import automobile logistics distribution center in the western region.
