Lanzhou, March 27 (Reporter Yang Na) From a plate of tapes, a piece of disc, to now open the mobile phone to scan the two-dimensional code to listen to and watch audio and video works, Gansu Feitian Electronic Audio and Video Publishing House has been publishing and distributing "positions" for 20 years, from offline to online, bringing readers more abundant content and works.

"The development of science and technology has brought about changes in reading habits and carriers, but high-quality content is still needed by readers." Feng Tianyi, general manager of Gansu Feitian Electronic Audio-visual Publishing House Co., Ltd., recently said in an interview with a reporter from China News Network that the responsibility and mission of the publishing house is to make big waves and sand, and screen out high-quality content to serve readers.

As the only publishing institution in Gansu Province with dual qualifications of electronic and audio-visual publishing, Gansu Feitian Electronic Audio-visual Publishing House (hereinafter referred to as Feitian Society) was established in 2002 and is affiliated to Reader Publishing and Media Co., Ltd. In Gansu, the hometown of "Feitian", Feitian Society leverages Gansu's long history and culture and diverse ethnic characteristics to devote itself to the development, production, publication and distribution of audio-visual and electronic publication products with related content.

As a beautiful business card of Gansu, Reader magazine has been published for 41 years and is known as "China's first periodical". Feng Tianyi said that the emergence of Reader magazine is a rain and dew on a cultural desert, which has become a spiritual reading book that nourishes generations of Chinese.

In his view, with the development of science and technology, the Rapid Popularization of the Internet, the highly developed informatization, the readership that has experienced the explosion of information has begun to continue to subdivide, when readers who are not satisfied with "knowing it" and want to "know why it is so", they need more targeted and more exquisite products and content, and the publishing house can meet the needs of this part of the readers.

"The nine publishing houses under the Reader Publishing Group, although their own characteristics are different, all adhere to the high-quality route." Feng Tianyi said that the Reader Publishing Group adheres to the publishing characteristics of "specialization, refinement, specialization and integration", and its publishing houses give full play to their own characteristics and expertise to provide readers with more high-quality content.

Taking Dunhuang Studies as an example, many publishing houses under the Reader Publishing Group have published related and related contents, but they adhere to their own characteristics. "Dunhuang studies are the world, but Dunhuang is in Gansu, so scholars in Gansu have unique conditions for studying Dunhuang studies." Feng Tianyi said.

On this basis, Feitianshe focuses on publishing the content of the discipline theories in Dunhuang Studies. "Next, we will make an electronic dictionary of Tibetan entries in Dunhuang Studies and deepen the field of academic theory." Feng Tianyi said that in addition to Dunhuang Studies, Feitianshe has also shifted the focus of publishing and distribution to electronic publications with academic theoretical research significance and value.

Through the cooperation of relevant experts and scholars, the Feitian Society has gradually explored the establishment of an electronic database for theoretical research such as Western Xia Studies and Tibetan Studies, and cooperated with relevant paper publications of book publishing houses to provide a database for the study of academic theories such as Gansu culture and ethnic characteristics, and promote related research to better serve economic and social development.

Feng Tianyi said that although compared with publishing content that caters to market demand, the audience of boring and obscure academic materials is fixed, and the market share is minimal, it is remarkable to be able to publish works with reference value and significance for relevant theoretical research based on carefully planned projects and based on local actual conditions.

Feng Tianyi believes that the transformation of the distribution position from tangible to intangible has brought opportunities and challenges to the electronic audio-visual products publishing house. The Internet is larger in scope and wider in dissemination, and the publication of electronic audio-visual products is less constrained by space; but the open and integrated environment requires more strict screening and control by publishing houses to present more high-quality works to readers.
