Zhao Shengliang: Contributions and influences of centuries-old Dunhuang art research
In the course of more than 100 years of development of Dunhuang Studies, Dunhuang art research has continued to develop since the 1940s with the development of field investigations of Dunhuang Grottoes. In the 1980s, riding on the wind of China's reform and opening up, Dunhuang art research changed from a trickle to a torrent, and a large number of achievements continued to emerge, which continued to have a positive impact on society-related fields. Zhao Shengliang, a research librarian of Dunhuang Research Institute, pointed out in the article "The Contribution and Influence of Dunhuang Art Research in a Hundred Years" that the great contribution of Dunhuang art research lies in the fact that it not only promotes the development of Dunhuang Studies related disciplines, but also has a major impact on the development of culture and art in the whole society, and plays an increasingly important role in telling Chinese stories and inheriting innovative excellent traditional culture.
