The multimedia exhibition "Dunhuang Wonderland - The Mystery of the Legendary Cave 220 Caves" entered Shanghai.
New Gansu client Lanzhou News (New Gansu Gansu Daily reporter Shi Xiuping) "Dunhuang Wonderland - The Mystery of the Legendary Cave 220 Caves" multimedia exhibition was recently launched in Shanghai Shangsheng Xin. The exhibition focuses on the mural paintings of Cave 220 of the "Special Grottoes" of Mogao Grottoes, reflecting the folk paintings of Tang Dynasty music and dance, which is another exploration of the creative transformation and innovative dissemination of the digital achievements of the Dunhuang Research Institute in the grottoes, and is also the first offline multimedia special exhibition officially authorized by the Dunhuang Research Institute and provided academic guidance.
It is understood that the Dunhuang Research Institute has been committed to the exploration and practice of "Digital Dunhuang" for many years, using digital technology to completely preserve the cultural relics information of the Dunhuang Grottoes, truly reproducing the infinite charm of Dunhuang art, so that the ancient Dunhuang art can walk out of the grottoes, out of Dunhuang and go to the public with the power of science and technology.
This exhibition is jointly produced by Dunhuang Research Institute and Shanghai Zero Card Culture Development Co., Ltd., which reflects the latest achievements in Dunhuang studies and reasonably restores the picture of social life in the early Tang Dynasty. At the same time, a creative attempt was made in the selection of Dunhuang content themes, focusing on Cave 220 of the Mogao Grottoes, choosing the music and dance closest to life as the entry point of the exhibition, with multimedia theaters, scene creation, mural musical instrument restoration and other rich exhibition methods, with original music, exhibition hall custom smell and other details, fully mobilize the audience's vision, hearing and smell, with a new exhibition experience, so that the vast Dunhuang culture has more affinity, experience and human touch.

At the opening ceremony of the exhibition, the theme of "Cultural Tolerance and Innovative Expression - The Significance of Dunhuang Culture in Modern Cities" was also introduced, and the achievements of Dunhuang Research Institute in "protection, research and promotion" over the years were introduced, and the internal connection between urban culture and Dunhuang culture was expounded.
The exhibition will run until March 22. During the period, it will also cooperate with public lectures and social education activities related to Dunhuang culture, art and protection.
