In 2021, the new energy heavy-duty truck market has been running for 10 consecutive months in a state of great growth or even sharp increase, of which 8 months have increased by more than 100, and the average increase in the last four months from August to November has reached 400%. In the first 11 months of this year, the cumulative sales of new energy heavy trucks were 7442 units, an increase of 222% year-on-year, and the cumulative growth rate was 52 percentage points larger than that of January to October (170%), continuing to grow at a high speed.
From the perspective of fuel types, the new energy heavy truck technology route in the first 11 months of this year is still dominated by pure electric, but the proportion of hydrogen fuel continues to expand. As shown in the figure below, the proportion of pure electric vehicles in new energy heavy trucks in the first 11 months of this year reached 91.91%, a decrease of about 6.7 percentage points compared with 98.57% in the same period last year; Hydrogen fuel cell heavy-duty trucks and diesel hybrid heavy-duty trucks accounted for 7.83% and 0.26% respectively, the proportion of fuel cell models increased significantly year-on-year (compared with 7.78% in January to October, and slightly expanded), and the proportion of hybrid models decreased by 0.44 percentage points year-on-year.
The proportion of hydrogen energy heavy trucks in the new energy heavy truck market has increased significantly this year, an increase of more than 7 percentage points over the same period last year, and the prospect is promising. With the increasing popularity of the concept of "hydrogen energy" under the "double carbon" strategy, more and more heavy-duty truck brands are entering this segment. According to the data, there are 10 hydrogen fuel heavy truck companies that have achieved licensing this year (another one was added in November), compared with only 4 in the same period last year (Jiangling, Dayun, Dongfeng and Jiefang); From January to November this year, the cumulative sales of hydrogen fuel cell heavy trucks have reached 583 vehicles, and in November, 148 hydrogen fuel cell heavy truck terminals were sold, creating a new record for the monthly sales of fuel cell heavy trucks this year. In the first 11 months of this year, there were 13 "players" with sales of 100 vehicles and more in the domestic new energy heavy-duty truck market, the cumulative sales of the top 11 enterprises exceeded 200 vehicles, and the cumulative sales of Sany Group exceeded 1,000 vehicles, reaching 1193 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 1320%; Hanma Technology, Dongfeng, Yutong, SAIC Hongyan, Beiben Heavy Duty Truck, XCMG Heavy Truck and other 6 enterprises have accumulated sales of more than 500 vehicles, with cumulative sales of 955, 795, 764, 655, 588 and 578 respectively, an increase of 208%, 52%, 179%, net increase, 161% and 157% respectively.
The tractor segment is the flashpoint, key point and top priority of the new energy heavy truck market, and no matter how much it is emphasized, it cannot be overemphasized. According to the data mastered by the first commercial vehicle network, from January to November this year, a total of 3798 new energy tractors were licensed nationwide, an increase of 538% year-on-year, of which the actual sales in November reached 978, following the height of 500 units sold per month for three consecutive months in August and October (525, 525 and 528 sold in August and October), and in November it was almost a new height of 1,000 vehicles.
