Starting from the family history of Taiwan's Wu Zhaoxie, the second uncle believes in Marxism, and the third uncle is the financial lord of Taiwan independence

author:Classic Watchmen

Since the United States directly stationed troops in Taiwan in 1951, it has trained many extremely pro-American Taiwanese in the past three decades. Many of these people have now entered the house and occupied key positions on the island. Wu Chao-sup, the current head of Taiwan's pseudo-foreign affairs department, is such a pawn cultivated by the United States who specializes in creating problems on the Taiwan Strait issue. From Chen Shui-bian's "violent act of Taiwan independence" in 2004 to the current Lithuanian incident, it was Wu Zhaoxie and others who single-handedly participated in the conspiracy of concoctation and planning. He has also been positioned as a die-hard Taiwan independence activist and will be held accountable for life. Unveiling his family history, we can find that Wu Zhaoxie's Taiwan Independence Field has its historical origins, its specific situation, and it will be slowly explained under the circumstances.

In May 1951, the US military led by General Chase of the United States officially entered Taiwan and stationed, opening the history of US troops stationed in Taiwan. Americans have used economic and cultural policies to invade the island of Taiwan for values, and many Taiwanese who grew up eating American relief food and reading American comic books have a natural affinity for the United States. At the same time, American culture has also penetrated into Taiwan's campuses, and the US government has also opened up a large number of American study places to Taiwanese. These people have received a Western education and fully agreed with American values and became the spokesmen of the United States within Taiwan. Even after the 1970s, U.S. troops gradually withdrew from Taiwan, U.S. influence still hung over Taiwan. A case in point is Wu Zhaoxie, the current head of the pseudo-foreign affairs department of the Tsai Ing-wen administration, who was born in Changhua, Taiwan, into a large family in Taiwan's own province. In 1978, Wu graduated from National Chengchi University in Taiwan, and then studied at the University of Missouri in the United States, where he obtained a master's degree in political science. He received his Ph.D. from Ohio State University in 1989 and has a strong overseas background. And Wu Zhaoxie's return to Taiwan's political career has a lot to do with his family, and it can be said that behind him stands the Wu family, which is actually rich and powerful.

Wu Zhaoxie, trained in the United States

Wu Zhaoxie's grandfather was very opposed to Japanese colonial rule in Taiwan, so the family had an early and indissoluble relationship with politics. Wu Zhaoxie's third uncle, Wu Lipei, was born in Taiwan in 1934 and entered the Department of Economics of National Taiwan University after the restoration of Taiwan. After graduating in 1957, he entered Changhua Bank in Taiwan and accumulated rich experience in the banking industry. In the 1960s, Wu entered the Institute of Business Administration of Kansas State University and obtained a master's degree in economics in 1969. Wu then entered the banking industry in the United States, and in just a few years he was on the rise. In 1973, Wu became a vice president of the National Bank of Alaska, when he was not yet forty years old. In 1974, Wu Entered the Advanced Seminar for Commercial Bank Decision Makers at Columbia University's Business Research Institute, and his status in the industry continued to rise. Since then, he has become an elite member of the U.S. banking industry and has begun his political career. It was during this period that Wu Zhaoxie came to the United States, and his uncle and nephew began to collude and jointly became supporters of Taiwan independence.

The 1970s coincided with the period when overseas Taiwan independence forces were at their most rampant, when several separatist forces advocating Taiwan independence appeared in the United States. In January 1970, the "Taiwan Independent Nation-Building Alliance" was established and began to engage in various separatist activities. Wu Lipei's wife's uncle Lai Wenxiong was the first director of the organization department of the "All-American Taiwan Independence Alliance," and Wu Lipei's political path of Taiwan independence began. In 1972, Peng Mingmin, a Taiwan independence activist on the island of Taiwan, fled to the United States to serve as chairman of the "Taiwan Independent Nation-Building Alliance." Wu Lipei also became his supporter and believer, and he continued to provide financial assistance for decades. In 1996, Peng Mingmin ran for the leadership of the Taiwan region, and Wu Lipei paid a large amount of political donations for his election. It can be said that since the 1970s, Wu Lipei has become the behind-the-scenes financial master of the Taiwan independence camp. Many Taiwan independence advocates have also established contacts with the United States through their overseas relations. Wu Zhaoxie's ascension to the dpp is also believed to be influenced by Wu Lipei's factors. In 2008, on the eve of Chen Shui-bian's resignation and downfall, he also remitted 1.91 million US dollars to Wu Lipei, nominally for private foreign affairs work, but in fact, what the purpose of this money is, only Chen Shui-bian knows it. At the end of the last century, Wu Lipei also served as the chairman of the American Wantong Bank (founded by the Association of Taiwan Businessmen in the United States), which was prominent for a while.

Chen Shui-bian and Wu Lipei had a close relationship

In the Wu family, in addition to Wu Lipei and Wu Zhaoxie's uncles and nephews, there are also people involved in politics. That is Wu Shupei's second brother, Wu Zhaoxie's second uncle Wu Shupei. In his early years on the island of Taiwan, Wu Shupei became increasingly left-wing because of his family's long-term opposition to Japanese imperialism, and during the period of Kuomintang rule, he still agreed with Marxism and socialist theory. Wu Shupei was later arrested and detained by the Kuomintang authorities for participating in related book clubs, and sat in the Kuomintang's black jail. But his imprisonment has not changed Mr. Wu's beliefs, and he remained highly sympathetic to Marxism after his release from prison, believing that the emerging Red regime was Taiwan's future. Later, he also formed the Association of Political Victims and served as its president. After the establishment of the "China Unification Alliance," Wu Shupei served as the convener of the Supervisory Commission, and he was also one of the few pro-unification figures on the island of Taiwan who truly supported New China's governance of Taiwan.

Wu Shupei, a big leader of the unification faction in his youth

After Wu Zhaoxie returned from studying in the United States, he became the political successor of his third uncle Wu Lipei and a staunch supporter of Taiwan independence. He also used his expertise to repeatedly create incidents between the two sides of the strait, and it can be said that several political and military crises between the two sides of the strait in the past two decades have been related to Wu Zhaoxie. After returning from the United States, Wu Zhaoxie first worked as a teaching and scientific research worker at the Center for International Relations Research of National Chengchi University, and only after Chen Shui-bian came to power did Wu Zhao xie have an identity in the political arena. In 2000, Wu Lipei established the "Overseas Friends of Ah Bian Association" in the United States, waving the banner for Chen Shui-bian in the United States and receiving a large amount of economic and political support for Chen Shui-bian. In order to express his gratitude, Chen Shui-bian hired Wu Lipei as a "senior official," and Wu Zhao-sup also became Chen Shui-bian's deputy secretary-general. Wu Zhaoxie's political style was to obey orders, and soon he became Chen Shui-bian's pawn. In 2004, Chen Shui-bian pursued the policy of "violently pursuing Taiwan independence," and the surging tide of Taiwan independence on the island also caused Taiwan's foreign affairs work to spread smoke. It was during this period that Wu Zhao-sup served as chairman of Taiwan's "Mainland Affairs Council" and was specifically responsible for cross-strait affairs. In 2006, Chen Shui-bian formally overthrew the "National Unification Program" and put Taiwan independence on the table, and cross-strait relations suddenly became tense.

In 2007, Wu Chao-sup went to the United States to serve as a "representative to the United States", and he was also the first DPP member in this position. Although he has not been in office for a long time, the harm is enormous. He has held more than 90 public speeches and accepted nearly 100 interviews with foreign media. He is a very talented performer, a politician who is extremely addicted to black and white. He once received the presidents of the Marshall Islands, Nauru, Palau, Kiribati and other four countries in one night, fanning the flames on the Taiwan Strait issue. After the DPP stepped down, Wu Zhaoxie returned to Chengchi University as a teacher, but he was still not lonely. After Su Zhenchang became chairman of the Democratic Progressive Party in 2012, Wu Chao-sup returned to the United States to collude left and right for the DPP and constantly create The issue of Taiwan independence. Tsai Ing-wen took over as chairman of the Democratic Progressive Party, and Wu Chao-sup remained in the United States. Tsai Ing-wen was able to gain the support of the Americans in large part because of Wu Zhaoxie.

Wu Zhao xie is extremely trusted by Tsai Ing-wen

After Tsai Ing-wen came to power in 2016, Wu Zhaoxie's political situation has been bullish all the way, first as director of the "Security Committee" and then as secretary-general of Tsai Ing-wen, who is highly trusted by Tsai Ing-wen. In 2018, Wu Zhaoxie officially became the head of Taiwan's foreign affairs department and became a major minister of Tsai Ing-wen. He tried to increase the influence of the "China threat theory" in international public opinion and make European and American countries change their understanding of the mainland. After Trump took office, the US-China relationship has moved to the edge of freezing point and confrontation, and the wind direction in the international field has begun to change. Wu Zhaoxie jumped up and down adhering to Tsai Ing-wen's idea of "resisting China and defending Taiwan", especially in Central and Eastern Europe. The Czech Republic, Slovakia, Lithuania and other countries have turned their diplomatic ideas toward China, and Wu Zhaoxie can be said to be the culprit. The Tsai Ing-wen administration's intention to echo the "anti-China" strategy of the United States is actually putting the Taiwan Strait on a very dangerous edge.

Today we announce the recall of the Ambassador to Lithuania

Wu Chao-sup is now a red person in front of Tsai Ing-wen, after Burkina Faso and Dominica severed the so-called "foreign affairs relations" with Taiwan in 2018, Wu Zhao-sup twice proposed to Tsai Ing-wen to resign and was comforted by Tsai Ing-wen. Wu Zhaoxie also received the nickname of "Minister of Severance of Diplomatic Relations". In fact, what Tsai Ing-wen really looks at is the Wu family power behind Wu Zhaoxie, who is still an important figure in the US banking industry and is inextricably linked to US politicians. Although Wu Lipei and Wu Zhaoxie had a fierce quarrel in 2016 over the appointment of Li Dawei, then head of the foreign affairs department, there were rumors of severance of contact. However, Wu Lipei's Taiwan independence advocates are still strong, and it is this blood-thicker than water kinship that has made Wu Zhaoxie a political tumbler. Moreover, in the future, the liaison between the DPP and the United States is likely to require Wu Lipei's help, so Wu Zhaoxie's position is difficult to shake.

"Minister of Severance of Diplomatic Relations"

In 2020, Wu Zhaoxie was officially named a "die-hard Taiwan independence element" and held accountable for life. Whether it is the "violent taiwan independence" and "de jure Taiwan independence" during the Chen Shui-bian period or the "cultural Taiwan independence" and "soft Taiwan independence" of the Tsai Ing-wen era, the essence of this mainland's explicit stance on Wu Zhaoxie's Taiwan independence activities is to openly provoke the mainland on the Taiwan Strait issue. Last month, led by Wu Zhaoxie, Lithuania wanted to set up a "Taiwan representative office" in the local area, which is a strong challenge to the "one-China" stance. The Chinese side recalled the ambassador today, solemnly stating its uncompromising stand on Taiwan independence. From a macro point of view, Tsai Ing-wen and Wu Zhaoxie's Taiwan independence authorities are the culprits of this incident, and if this fundamental crux is not solved, then many problems will still appear in the future. The international situation is unpredictable, and the chess game of the Sino-US great power game is likely to be played for a long time. Taiwan as a jumping beam clown is likely to continue to have a stage for performance, so we should focus on the fundamental problem, shooting people first shooting horses, and catching thieves first catching the king. Cut off the collusion between the United States and Taiwan and hit the Taiwan independence elements seven inches, so as to avoid a recurrence of incidents like Lithuania's. How the situation in the Taiwan Strait develops in the future will be something we will see.
