Beijing, January 1 (China News Network) -- The 70th anniversary of the establishment of the China Academy of Arts was held in Beijing a few days ago. Under the background of the integration and development of "culture + technology", this event aims to show the latest achievements in the digital protection of guqin art through high-tech means, so as to explore more possibilities for the digital protection, inheritance and innovation of traditional culture.

The China Academy of Art is the only national-level comprehensive academic institution in China that integrates art research, art education, art creation, intangible cultural heritage protection and cultural and artistic think tanks. In recent years, the China Academy of Arts has actively explored the integration and development of traditional culture and modern science and technology, and innovated the protection, inheritance and dissemination of traditional culture with the help of digital information technology. In 2021, the China Academy of Arts and Tencent cooperated to carry out a series of digital protection and innovative practices of guqin art based on the digital IP of king glory, with broader information release, deeper content transmission and more diverse interactive forms, to popularize guqin cultural knowledge to the public, especially young people, and show the charm of guqin art.

As the institution with the largest collection of guqin in China, the China Academy of Arts now has 92 guqin pieces passed down from generation to generation. This cooperation focuses on the three-dimensional digital collection of 30 pieces of courtyard guqin such as "Dead Wood Dragon Yin" and "Ming Feng", and establishes a three-dimensional image database of courtyard collection guqin. This is also the first time that the China Academy of Arts has tried to collect three-dimensional data on the guqin collection.

At the event, the "Digital Guqin" mini program based on the above-mentioned digital collection results was released, presenting the rich collection of the China Academy of Arts from the three aspects of the sound, notation and instrument of the guqin, and disseminating the knowledge and protection concept of the guqin through interactive H5 pages, knowledge quizzes and other methods, so as to build it into a professional and popular guqin art display and dissemination platform.

After the launch ceremony, the participating experts and scholars held dialogues on the two topics of "Practical Exploration of Guqin Digital Cultural Creation" and "Digital Protection, Inheritance and Innovation of Traditional Culture", and discussed the protection and inheritance strategies of traditional culture in the digital environment from multiple angles. Experts believe that the integration and development of traditional culture and digital technology has become unstoppable, and in this process, it is necessary to adhere to traditional genes, keep the root and soul of culture, and achieve a balance between content and form. Only by taking the people as the center and disseminating and promoting traditional culture in a way that the public likes to hear can we better meet the growing spiritual and cultural needs of the people.

After the dialogue, Wu Zhao and Lin Chen, two famous pianists from the China Academy of Arts and representative inheritors of guqin art of the national intangible cultural heritage representative project, took the stage successively to bring wonderful guqin performances to the guests. The performance adopts digital multimedia venue design, through holographic laser projection and interactive special effects to create an immersive guqin performance space, the audience can enjoy the piano music at the same time can also experience the "subtraction score", "elephant invisible" and "string outside the deep" three interactive devices, to further feel the innovative expression of the digital exploration of guqin art.

As the application and protection unit of THE UNESCO Representative List of intangible cultural heritage of humanity "Guqin Art", in recent years, the China Academy of Arts has done a lot of work in the rescue, protection, inheritance and dissemination of the project, and has achieved remarkable results.
