In May 618, Li Yuan proclaimed himself emperor in Chang'an and established the Tang Dynasty. At the same time, Li Yuanfeng's eldest son Li Jiancheng was made crown prince, his second son Li Shimin was made the King of Qin, and his fourth son, Li Yuanji, was made the King of Qi. However, in June 626, the situation changed, and Li Shimin, the king of Qin, committed a crime, launched the Xuanwumen Rebellion, personally shot and killed the crown prince Li Jiancheng, and then seized the throne. So after the change of Xuanwumen, what was the end of Li Jiancheng's wife, son, and daughter?
Li Jiancheng had six sons, namely Li Chengzong the Prince of Taiyuan, Li Chengdao the Second Son, Li Chengdao the Prince of Anlu, Li Chengde the Third Son, Li Chengde the Prince of Hedong, Li Chengxun the Fourth Son, Li Chengxun the Prince of Wu'an, Li Chengming the Fifth Son, and Li Chengyi the Sixth Son, the King of Julu. At the time of the Xuanwumen Revolution, Li Jiancheng was Chinese New Year's Eve eight years old, and his eldest son Li Chengzong had already died prematurely, so only five sons were left. Judging from Li Jiancheng's age, his sons were probably only in their teens, and they were all executed by his second uncle Li Shimin.
Speaking of Li Jiancheng's crown princess, this person's name is Zheng Guanyin, who is from the famous Xingyang Zheng clan. Zheng Guanyin's ancestors were all high officials, Gaozu Zheng Daoyu served as Taichangqing and Xuzhou Assassin in Northern Wei; his grandfather Zheng Chen served as a counselor and Yingchuan Taishou in Northern Wei, and was also given the title of Duke of Wushan County; his father Zheng Jibo first served as The Great Zhongzheng of Yuzhou in Northern Qi, and later in the Sui Dynasty as Kaifu Yi Tongsan division, Jin Ziguanglu Dafu, and Kuozhou Assassin History.
In 599, Zheng Guanyin was born, and because her father, Zheng Jibo, believed in Buddhism, she named her daughter Guanyin. In 614, the sixteen-year-old Zheng Guanyin married the twenty-six-year-old Li Jiancheng. Judging from Li Jiancheng's age, she may have been married, but Zheng Guanyin was his wife from beginning to end. After Li Jiancheng became the crown prince, Zheng Guanyin was naturally the princess concubine, but the change of Xuanwumen broke her original happy life.
The husband was killed, the son died tragically, and Zheng Guanyin, who could have been able to become a sensitive figure in the future mother's world. Tang Taizong Li Shimin may not have a conscience, he did not kill the eldest brother's wife and daughter, after all, politics is a man's game, and it is difficult for women to enter the political stage. Although Li Shimin included his sister-in-law Yang Shi in the harem, there is no information that Zheng Guanyin also became Li Shimin's woman. Zheng Guanyin lived in Miyagi Nagaraku Gate for a long time and witnessed the vicissitudes of the Tang Dynasty.
In the first month of 676, fifty years after the change of Xuanwumen, Zheng Guanyin came to the end of his life, at the age of seventy-eight. At that time, the emperor was already Li Zhi of Tang Gaozong, and he also felt sad, and ordered that "there is a gallon in ceremonies, funerals must be used, and the orders must be generous", and let Liang Wujian, the young secretary of the Taifu Dynasty, and the crown prince Wash Ma Xiao Shen supervise the funeral. In the end, Zheng Guanyin was buried on the side of the hidden tomb and buried with Li Jiancheng.
Recently, there is a TV series in which the protagonist is Li Jiancheng's daughter, who is the fish that slipped through the net of the change of Xuanwu Gate. However, there is no such thing in history, because Li Shimin did not kill Li Jiancheng's daughter at all. According to relevant information, Li Jiancheng had at least five daughters, but due to the lack of historical data, the details of these five people could not be determined, leaving only some information about the second daughter and the fifth daughter.
After Li Shimin was proclaimed emperor, all of Li Jiancheng's daughters were given the title of county lords, of whom the second daughter was named Li Wanshun, who was named the lord of Wenxi County, and the fifth daughter's name was unknown, and she was named the lord of Guide County. Li Wanshun was born in 623, only four years old at the time of the Xuanwumen Rebellion, and in 639, Emperor Taizong of Tang married his niece to Liu Yingdao, the crown prince. Li Wanshun had a good relationship with her husband and gave birth to four sons. In 662, Li Wanshun fell ill and died, calmly completing her life.
