Liu Cixin, president of Beijing Yuanyu Science Fiction Future Technology Research Institute and a famous science fiction writer, shared his views on the importance of popular science and science fiction literature creation and the outlook for future development directions. Liu Cixin said that science fiction literature, as a bridge between technology and human nature, is of great significance in stimulating scientific interest, foreseeing scientific and technological changes, and leading the public to think about the future. Chen Qiufan, a famous science fiction writer and president of the World Chinese Science Fiction Association, delivered a speech on the topic of science fiction realism and future imagination. In his speech, Chen Qiufan expounded the significance of science fiction works to the development of human scientific and technological civilization and the future social development from three aspects: the use of science fiction surreal imagination, the role of science fiction in transforming reality in science and technology society, and the influence of science fiction on the future world social trend and scientific and technological research direction.
