Qingdao Daily/Guanhai News, May 20 This morning, the 520 offshore survey and inspection platform of the Central South Institute was delivered in the West Coast New Area. This is a mobile 75-meter-level water depth comprehensive engineering survey and scientific research platform with the highest degree of digital intelligence and the most integrated functions in China, which can provide important technical support for accurate geological survey and scientific experiments in deep sea areas.
The 520 offshore survey and testing platform of Zhongnan Institute is invested and developed by PowerChina Zhongnan Survey, Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd., and built by Wuhan Shipbuilding Machinery Haixi Heavy Machinery. May 20 is the date of the establishment of the Central South Hospital, from which the name of the platform is derived. The platform is a four-legged jack-up with a streamlined hull and a large deck area of 1,100 square meters, which can meet the needs of 60 people for 25 consecutive days of offshore operation. The platform is designed to operate at a depth of 75 meters, with an extreme operating water depth of up to 85 meters, which meets the requirements of the wind farm engineering survey in various sea areas planned by the mainland, and can carry out high-precision marine survey operations, marine resources survey, and earth science research. In addition, the platform can also be used as a carrier and test verification equipment to serve the test and empirical research of new marine exploration equipment.
It is reported that PowerChina Central South Institute has customized and developed a digital twin system, an intelligent energy efficiency management system, a digital intelligent survey system and an intelligent monitoring system for the platform. On the basis of gathering meteorological, hydrological, strain and other monitoring data, these systems can realize real-time dynamic monitoring of the navigation status, energy efficiency status and structural status of the platform through the integrated application of digital intelligence technologies such as digital twins, numerical inversion, and AI intelligent analysis, and provide scientific decision-making support for equipment predictive maintenance and platform operation strategies.
