Become a teammate?
In order to give full play to the positive role of the class teacher in the joint education of home and school, and further improve the professionalism of the class teacher, on April 17, the "Beirun Youth Training" class teacher workshop invited Cao Sufang, a volunteer of Nanjing Tao Teacher Workstation, to answer questions and lead the class teachers.

Cao Sufang, who has been teaching for 35 years, has a master's degree in educational management, a senior middle school teacher, a school inspector of the middle school affiliated to Nanjing University of Science and Technology, a national second-level psychological counselor, a national senior marriage and family counselor, a psychological counselor of Nanjing Tao Teacher Workstation, and a special lecturer of Nanjing Parent School.
At the beginning of the activity, Ms. Cao emphasized the importance of home-school cooperation, and led the class teachers into the theme through the warm-up activity of "crossing hands", so that the teachers realized that everyone has their own different habits, and the fact that habits are not easy to change after they are formed. Then Ms. Cao showed the problems fed back by the homeroom teacher in the home-school communication case, and she said that in the face of these problems, the homeroom teacher should turn parents into our teammates and jointly help students grow.
Ms. Cao introduced how to effectively cooperate with parents from three aspects. First of all, the class teacher needs to understand the parents. She led the class teacher to draw her own family map and feel the influence of the family on the formation of personality. Acceptance is not the same as recognition, it is to accept the current situation of parents and families after understanding their characteristics and empathize with them; Establish a good home-school relationship with parents through understanding and empathy, communicate with a gentle but firm attitude, give parents due respect, and help parents explore the positive resources of their children and families, empower parents to improve.
Finally, Mr. Cao returned to the confusion of the class teacher at the beginning of the lecture, and gave detailed answers one by one, helping the class teacher to solve many difficulties in communicating with parents and mastering the correct way to communicate and cooperate with parents.
Education is an impact rather than a change, an awakening rather than a reinvention. Mr. Cao's lecture benefited the class teachers a lot. In the work of the class teacher, only by having a deep understanding of the student's family can we prescribe the right medicine, turn the parents into teammates, so as to better understand the children, and the family and school work together to help the life growth of the students.
