May 19, 2024 is the 14th "World Family Doctor Day", in order to further implement the relevant requirements of the national "Guiding Opinions on Promoting the High-quality Development of Family Doctor Contracted Services" and comprehensively improve the capacity of primary health services, on May 19, the Saihan District Health Commission held a publicity activity with the theme of "Scientific Weight Control, Healthy Companionship" in the Grassland Silk Road Cultural Park. The event was hosted by the Health Commission of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and the Health Commission of Hohhot, undertaken by the Health Commission of Saihan District, and co-organized by all tertiary medical and health institutions, district-level hospitals and primary medical and health institutions in the jurisdiction.
Before the start of the event, the organizer read out the notice on the selection of outstanding family doctors and family doctor teams in the autonomous region in 2023, awarded honorary certificates to the "Chen Yan Family Doctor Team" of Renmin Road Community Service Center, and commended 11 outstanding family doctors from primary medical institutions with outstanding performance in 2023.
At the event site, the family doctors of various community centers not only prepared wonderful songs and dances, recitations and other programs for the residents, but also integrated common cardiopulmonary resuscitation, Heimlich first aid and other rescue methods into the performance, teaching residents simple first aid methods, and striving to minimize the loss of accidental injuries.
Through this activity, the contracted residents' sense of identity with the family doctor service has been enhanced, and at the same time, the initiative of the family doctor to serve the residents has also been cultivated. In the next step, Saihan District will continue to further promote the contracted service of family doctors, and actively carry out "one-stop" services such as basic medical policy publicity, health education, consultation and guidance, so that family doctors can enter more people's homes and make it more affordable and convenient for residents to see a doctor.
