On May 18, under the guidance of the Department of Primary Health of the National Health Commission and the Beijing Municipal Health Commission, the 2024 "World Family Doctor Day" theme publicity activity and the 7th Beijing "5.19 Doctors Walk Together" Health Carnival jointly organized by the Beijing Community Health Promotion Association, the Beijing Community Health Association, and the Haidian District Health Commission were held in the Old Summer Palace.
Employees from tertiary hospitals, private hospitals, and functional units in Beijing, as well as family doctors and contracted residents from more than 300 community health service centers participated in the event. About 1,300 participants formed 18 teams, fully demonstrating the spirit and vitality of the contracted service team of family doctors. At the same time, the event site interacted with the "World Family Doctor Day" publicity activities in Shandong, Guangdong, Hainan, Gansu, Xinjiang, Sichuan and other six places, and jointly sent the most sincere blessings to family doctors across the country.

At the event, more than 20 specialists and general practitioners interacted with residents, so that residents could understand how to sign, where to sign, and what services they could get, so as to improve the accessibility of contracted services. On-site guidance by chronic disease experts from tertiary hospitals provides residents with answers to their confusion and free health consultations, reflecting the dedication and affection of family medical services.

In response to the theme of this year's World Family Doctor Day, "Scientific Weight Control, Healthy and Long-term Companionship", family doctors and contracted residents walked together on the road of promoting health. Along the route of the activity, a "six expansion" display area was set up for health sports supply points, party building culture publicity, and family doctor contracting, so that the participants could burn calories and relay health knowledge in a joyful festival atmosphere, interpret the concept of "fun walking, healthy life" with practical actions, improve health literacy, and feel the beauty of health.
