In 1944, a Tiger tank, which had just arrived in Romania, was removing the special tracks for transport and replacing them with regular tracks for combat use.

As the most feared weapon of World War II, the Tiger tank has a 56 times diameter 88 mm tank gun, the maximum frontal armor thickness has reached 102 mm, and it is all made of the best nickel alloy steel armor. This also allowed the weight of the Tiger tank to reach 57 tons in the later period, so in order to increase the tank's passability on muddy roads, the track width designed by German designers reached 720 mm.

As a result, a new problem arose, that is, the hull of the Tiger tank was seriously over-wide in railway transportation, so the designers designed a special transport track for the Tiger tank with a width of only 520 mm, and in order to replace this track, the load wheels on the outside of the tank had to be removed.

After being transported to the destination, all the crew must cooperate with each other, first disassemble the transport track, and then install the load wheel and the conventional track in turn, and adjust the position of the driven wheel with the crankshaft after installation, so as to ensure that the tightness of the track is in the best state. Before the battle began, the crew members had to carry out a series of high-intensity work, and I don't know if the German tank crew complained about the designer in their hearts when they changed tracks.
