Boone told police she had been drinking at home with her boyfriend the night before.

On a whim, the two began to play hide-and-seek.

Boone first hid in the upstairs shower, but boyfriend Torres didn't go up to find her.

So Boone came out and went downstairs on his own to find her boyfriend Torres staying in the living room.

They all thought it would be fun to hide in their suitcase.

Later, boyfriend Torres got into the suitcase.

Boone zipped up the suitcase, but let Torres' two fingers stick out.

Boone thought his boyfriend had a way to get out, so he went upstairs alone to get ready for bed.

Half an hour after going to bed, she fell asleep.

Boone recalled that neither she nor her boyfriend, Torres, were drunk at the time.

She thought Torres would get out of the suitcase on his own and sleep with her.

Boone woke up the next morning and lay in bed for a while.

Boyfriend Torres wasn't in bed.

She thought Torres was already downstairs looking for a job on his laptop.

Around 11 a.m., Boone went downstairs, but could not find any trace of his boyfriend.

Only then did Boone realize that he should check the suitcase.

By the time she unzipped it, Torres didn't react inside and didn't breathe.

When she pulled Torres out of her suitcase and tried to perform CPR, she found him pale and stiff.

Boone panicked and called her ex-husband for help.

The ex-husband arrived at the scene minutes later and asked Boone to call the police.

Police and rescuers arrived at the scene and confirmed Torres was dead.

Torres' body lay on the floor next to a blue suitcase.

He had wounds on his lips, bruises around his eyes, forehead and shoulders, and nail scratches on his back and neck.

During the investigation, police found two videos in Boone's mobile phone to uncover the truth of the case.

In a two-minute video, the suitcase is placed facing down.

The boyfriend is trapped inside and twisting around, and he can't get out,

Boone, on the other hand, scoffed at him: "Thank you for everything you have done to me." How stupid. ”

The boyfriend desperately called out Boone's name for help, saying he couldn't breathe.

To this, Boone responded:

"Yes, that's what you did when you pinched me. It's your fault.

That's how I feel when you deceive me... You should shut up. ”

In the second 22-second video,

The suitcase was repositioned, this time facing up.

Torres continued to shout Boone's name, but did not get help.

Boone denied ever fighting Torres and denied intentionally leaving him in the suitcase.

She said she didn't remember recording the videos and changed her story to say they were both drunk that night.

Boone and her boyfriend, Torres, began dating in early 2017 and moved in together a few months later.

During the period when the two lived together, they repeatedly called the police for domestic violence.

In July 2018, the couple got into a fight after a fight at home, and both had injuries.

They both refused treatment, and after paying bail, the case was eventually dropped.

On June 15, 2019, Boone claimed,

Because she was talking to another man, her boyfriend Torres was very angry and hit her on the head, face, legs and arms.

The boyfriend also threatened Boone: "You will die." ”

Court records show Boone testifying against boyfriend Torres.

Torres was eventually released on the condition that he avoided alcohol or drugs, had no hostile contact with the victim and remained in a separate residence.

In September 2019, Torres was arrested again.

Boone was sleeping when Torres kicked open the bedroom door.

Boone asked Torres to leave, only to be hit in the head by the other side.

After these events, it is not known when the two began to live together again.
