Recently, Ducati released the Hypermotard (Hacker) RVE in the U.S. market, a limited edition version of the second generation, which costs $15,695 more than the standard version ($14,195) and only offers 100 units. The new limited edition RVE features street art-inspired "Graffiti" livery. Ducati claims that the creative process is very laborious, requiring professional painters to work in stages and apply extremely thin decals, which is why the car is limited to 100 units.
The new RVE version takes on the styling of the original Hypermotard 950 concept car, designed by Centro Stile Ducati, and Ducati designers used the concept car's eye-catching livery to create a similar style model for the Hypermotard 950 series, with the launch of the first-generation RVE version in June 2020. RVE offers a compromise between the base 950 and the top 950 SP.
The Hypermotard 950 is the ideal platform for this customization, as the car's aggressive look, dual exhaust and mechanical components protruding under the seats, and the iconic steel tube frame, coupled with the powerful L-type twin-cylinder engine, give the Hacker a personality.
Speaking of engines, the Hacker 950 is powered by a 937cc displacement, Testastretta 11° L-type twin-cylinder engine that produces 114hp at 9,000 rpm and 96Nm at 7,250 rpm. While 80% of the torque can be used in the range of 3,000-9,500 rpm, it is popular with molesters, and this output feature maximizes driving pleasure.
The new RVE version is equipped with Ducati's latest technological advancements, including: Multiple Ride Modes, Quick Shift (DQS) Up and Down EVO, Bosch Cornering ABS with Cornering Function, Ducati Traction Control (DTC) EVO, Ducati Wheel Control (DWC) EVO.
In addition, the RVE features a fully adjustable suspension that owners can easily change settings depending on their riding style, including a 45mm Marzocchi inverted fork and Sachs rear shock absorbers. In terms of braking, the front Brembo M4.32 four-piston radial monocoque calipers are available with 320 mm double discs, and the rear dual piston Brembo calipers are available with 245 mm single discs.
The Ducati Hypermotard 950 RVE will begin to hit the U.S. in late May, but this version is currently only available in the U.S. market, and it is unclear whether it will be released to other regions in the future.
