At the end of 2020, Ducati released a motorcycle and the second mass production motorcycle with ACC features, Ducati's new generation Multitrada V4 series (Lantu V4) adventure.
The new Lantu takes the intelligence a step further, with an improved version of "Ducati connectivity", the Ducati mobile phone interconnection function, and now with the new 6.5-inch LCD meter, it supports the control of the relevant functions after the interconnection through the buttons on the motorcycle faucet.
In addition, Ducati also added a millimeter wave radar under the headlights of the new car, under the support of this hardware, the new car also has ACC adaptive cruise and blind spot detection functions, which improves the safety of driving to a certain extent. It also makes it the second production motorcycle after the BMW R 1250 RT to feature this technology.
The V4 engine with a maximum power of 170 hp and a maximum torque of 125 N·m (arrived at 8,750 rpm) is a power boost, and in addition to the power increase, the new V4 engine is 1.22 kg lighter than the previous 1260 V2 engine, and the size is also smaller. With the optimised variable timing valves, the engine valve service intervals have been significantly extended to more than 60,000 km, more than double the industry average.
Although no adjustments have been made in electrification, the new Ducati car can be said to be still strong in electrification, and the semi-active electronic suspension supports 4 riding modes and 400 setting combinations. The multi-axle IMU also features a range of electronic assist functions such as cornering ABS, anti-warp head, and traction control.
In other respects, the new trip is no longer a sexy single rocker arm, but a double rocker arm, the new engine and frame under the dry weight of only 215 kg, while the whole series is equipped with 4 wind wings as standard, increasing a certain high-speed downforce.
