Although it has been launched as early as 2014, compared with other new power brands that have risen in the same period, its development trajectory is indeed far from what people envision.

Although the Denza 300 and Denza 500 have long been reduced to exclusive models for online ride-hailing, and depressing X is difficult to shoulder, BYD obviously does not want to easily give up this high-end sub-brand that has been operating for many years. Since the beginning of this year, the news about Denza to create a high-end MPV has begun to come out, and Zhao Changjiang, general manager of the sales division of the Denza brand, has also continuously warmed up for this new car through social platforms.
Yesterday, Denza officially announced the official name of this new car - Denza D9.
Officially, the origin of the name D9 is complex:
D is not only the epoch-making definition of Denza's luxury MPV, but also the brand initial of Denza; it can not only imply that it brings consumers an unimaginable wisdom and dignity to enjoy a large space, but also a comprehensive guardian of the five-star safety standard; and 9 is the representative of "the momentum of the atmosphere, because of the big and the momentum, because of the big and extraordinary".
However, this interpretation cannot be said to be far-fetched, but can only be said to be irrelevant...
But no matter how to say it, this Denza D9 is probably the most concerned "BYD" new car recently. Perhaps the quality of the name is still debatable, but in the design of the Denza D9 is still quite atmospheric, it is also in line with its high-end MPV positioning.
In the front face part, under the leadership of Alpha in recent years, the "big mouth front face" seems to have become a high-end MPV can not avoid the design, and destaposition D9 is naturally not exempt, its overall design and the current STYLE of all BYD models is not much the same. With its large multi-width wheels, short front and rear overhangs, boxy lines and metallic D-pillars, the solemnity of the Denza D9 is still quite in place. Although the specific size data of the D9 has not yet been announced, according to the previous exposure, the length of the Denza D9 will exceed 5200mm, the width and height of the car will also be more than 1900mm, and the wheelbase will reach more than 3100mm, in other words, the Denza D9 will be a full circle larger than the commercial vehicle sales king Buick GL8.
From the netizens captured the interior spy photo, we can also see that the interior of denza D9 may adopt the same design as the current High-end models of Byd such as Tang and Han, and the style of the central control rotating screen and the central electronic block will be the same as our familiar look.
At the same time, in order to meet its high-end positioning, in terms of configuration, Denza D9 will have a double sunroof, a double-sided electric sliding door, a four-door double-layer silent glass and high-end brand tires.
Although depressive has not yet announced the power information of the new car, it is not difficult to guess that the Denza D9 will most likely provide DM-i and EV versions. The larger body size is also a big advantage for the battery layout, so the maximum cruising range of the DM-i model may be expected to exceed 1000km, and the EV version is expected to have a maximum cruising range of 600km.
Price into maximum suspense
Whether it is from the publicity or positioning, deuser D9 is destined not to be a cheap car. According to the analysis, the starting price of the DM-i model of denza D9 will most likely be between 300,000 and 400,000 yuan, while the EV version of the model will be more expensive. Considering its positioning, we do not rule out that the D9 will provide a more luxurious and high-end four-seat version of the model like the previously announced Lantu Dreamer, and the price of this version of the model may exceed 600,000 yuan.
So the question is, such a high-end positioning, expensive "BYD", will anyone really buy?
Two or three years ago, when Tang, Han and other models priced at up to 300,000 yuan were launched, BYD's market appeal was far less powerful than it is today, but with a good enough product force, these two "flagship" models still have a firm foothold in the market.
Then, when the brand power has risen sharply and the market's call for high-end MPV is getting higher and higher, it is also natural for BYD to launch a denza D9 product. The reason why BYD has created such a model through the Denza brand this time, in addition to being able to re-enter the public eye of this high-end brand with a weak sense of existence, is also testing the market's "tolerance" for the price of its own brand.
If the Denza D9 can get a good market response, it will not only prove that consumers' recognition of BYD's brand value has further increased, but also re-revitalize this sinking high-end brand.
After all, after successfully dominating the new energy vehicle market of less than 300,000 yuan, BYD's next goal is obviously to develop to a higher place. Using Denza as a springboard is safer than forcibly elevating brand positioning.
