Last night, the new BMW 7 Series all-electric version of the BMWi7 was launched in Beijing worldwide. As a flagship model, the length of the 7 Series has been increased again, becoming the longest 7 Series ever.
The new BMW 7 Series will be available in fuel-engined, plug-in hybrid and all-electric versions, making it the only luxury brand that can offer three powered versions at the same time. The new car will be officially launched in the fourth quarter of this year, and the plug-in hybrid version will wait until next year.

The exterior interior is completely new in design
The new BMW 7 Series has an oversized body of 5391 mm long, 1950 mm wide and 1548 mm high, and an extra long wheelbase of 3215 mm. Perhaps the biggest difference in appearance between the pure electric i7 and the fuel 7 series is that the i7 uses a closed grille commonly found on pure trams, and the new 7 series also offers BMW's personalized two-color paint selection.
The new BMW 7 Series features a split headlight design with daytime running lights at the top and a headlight group below. The front face straight waterfall double kidney chrome grille, the size is further increased. Dynamic lighting effects have been added to the contour of the forward grille, officially called "ring-shaped flare grille", representing BMW's future design concept.
The unveiling of the new 7 Series can be said to be completely renewed from the inside out. The interior follows the principle of "Shy Tech" stealth technology, and the number of physical buttons in the whole vehicle is greatly reduced. The new 7 Series uses surrounded interactive light belt ambience lights with a newly designed panoramic star orbit canopy to create a more spacious, modern and comfortable interior space, allowing passengers to have the feeling of being in a space technology cockpit. Users can also control the color of the LED light on the canopy according to their personal preference.
The new 7 Series comes with the new BMW iDrive and BMW OS 8.0. The one-piece suspended curved screen in the front compartment combines a 12.3-inch instrument panel with a 14.9-inch touch-sensitive center display, and the hidden air conditioning outlet on the instrument table merges with it.
In addition to the crystal texture design of the new car shift paddles and iDrive shift control knobs, the crystal panels and mood light decorations on the door panels and the seat adjustment buttons are also crystal textured designs.
The rear seat adjustment of the doors supports the "lie flat" function, and the seat adjustment buttons are located on the rear door panel display, which is also convenient to operate.
The new generation of the 7 Series will also provide a 31-inch floating cinema screen for the rear, coupled with top-of-the-line audio and 5G networks, bringing a more luxurious car audio and video experience, with a visual effect similar to IMAX screens.
A wide range of power options
The i7 has a pure electric mileage of more than 600 kilometers
In terms of power, the new generation of BMW 7 Series will be equipped with two power configurations: a 3.0T in-line six-cylinder turbo engine and a 4.4T V8 twin-turbo engine. The 3.0T is expected to be tuned in both high and low tuning, matched by the ZF 8AT. The new car will also be available in a plug-in hybrid version, although the specific parameters have not been disclosed.
The pure electric BMW i7 will be equipped with the same fifth-generation eDrive technology as the BMW iX, and the xDrive 60 model is equipped with a front and rear dual motor four-drive system, and its cruising range will exceed 600 kilometers.
The BMW i7 adopts sustainable and environmentally friendly design, such as the use of green electricity for batteries and vehicle production, and the targeted use of recycled aluminium.
