The smart cockpit concept is already rotten? Jaguar Land Rover takes a new meaning

Smart cockpit is already a concept that has been mentioned too many times today, and users are mostly concerned about entertainment interactive functions, but Jaguar Land Rover has taken a different approach, starting from the perspective of protecting user health, providing another way of thinking for the smart cockpit of luxury cars.

Can it effectively block the new crown pneumonia virus? I like to believe it

Since the beginning of the new crown pneumonia in 2020, everyone has suffered from it, and Chinese have collectively worn masks as never before, so that the cold medicines that sold so much in pharmacies in previous years have disappeared from the market. But people have masks, what about cars?

Jaguar Land Rover expert engineers have developed an air purification technology that combines heating, ventilation and air conditioning functions into a prototype system equipped with Panasonic's advanced nanoe X technology, which effectively inhibits viruses and harmful bacteria.

Jaguar Land Rover and Perfectus Biomed Ltd, a world-renowned microbiology and virology laboratory, have conducted the world's leading sealed environment test, simulating the operating mode of the on-board ventilation system every 30 minutes. Experiments have shown that Jaguar Land Rover's future cockpit air purification technology has a 97% inhibition rate of viruses and bacteria, which has become a major milestone in the research and development of air purification technology. In the future, Jaguar Land Rover models will be equipped with advanced technology that can effectively block the new crown pneumonia virus (SARS-CoV-2).

At present, all Jaguar models, including the Jaguar I-PACE luxury pure electric coupe SUV, as well as Land Rover models such as Land Rover Discovery and Land Rover Range Rover Evoque, are equipped with this nano-scale in-vehicle negative ion sterilization system and PM2.5 smog purification system.

Tricking the brain to avoid sedentary health risks? I'm willing to be fooled

According to the data, 1 in 4 (about 1.4 billion) of the world's population suffers from sedentary sitting – sitting not only causes spasms in the legs, gluteal muscles and hip muscles, resulting in back soreness, but also increases the risk of falls or sprains.

Jaguar Land Rover's vehicle interior research division has previously tested a deformable "seat of the future" that simulates the rhythm of walking by constantly stimulating the legs and alleviating the health risks posed by sitting. The system adapts to passengers of different sizes, adjusting through pushers in the seat foam to convince the passenger's brain that it is in a walking state.

If this technology can be mass-produced as soon as possible, I believe it is a blessing for people who have to sit for a long time due to work every day, at least on the way to work, they can relax their bodies.

Can you avoid motion sickness with an algorithm? I'll throw away the motion sickness medicine

Taking the autonomous driving travel scenario as an example, the study found that the occupants in the car are more likely to have motion sickness symptoms than the current travel scene. Jaguar Land Rover has created an innovative algorithm that generates a "wellness score" for each passenger, addressing the motion sickness experienced by users while driving or riding in a vehicle. In the first phase of the project, algorithms monitored drivers' signs in real time, reducing motion sickness by up to 60 percent.

Jaguar Land Rover experts at the Shannon Software Engineering Centre in Ireland have applied this scoring system to autonomous driving software: through computer simulations of road conditions and practices in the real environment, the Jaguar Land Rover Autonomous Driving Fleet has completed tens of thousands of miles of test miles and successfully calculated a set of parameters to evaluate driving power; based on the test data collected per mile, the self-driving software will continuously learn and analyze to optimize its driving style. By planning more ideal acceleration and braking timings, as well as developing more comfortable driving routes, avoiding a series of factors that contribute to motion sickness, passengers can be effectively relieved of related discomfort symptoms.

Can noise reduction make driving safer? I'm willing to pay

During long-distance driving, drivers often suffer from driving fatigue due to long-term exposure to low-frequency noise environments. To create a more comfortable and respectable driving experience, Jaguar Land Rover has innovated and developed active noise reduction technology, which effectively reduces road and tire noise, provides a comfortable and quiet cockpit space, alleviates fatigue caused by long-distance driving, and thus enhances driving safety.

Jaguar Land Rover's new active noise reduction system uses Silverium's Active Acoustics active acoustics technology, which monitors road surface vibrations in real time through sensors installed in the wheel area and calculates the reverse sound waves needed to counteract the noise, reducing the peak of invalid noise by 10 dB and the overall noise level by 3-4 dB, which is equivalent to reducing the car audio system by four tiles. At the same time, the active noise cancellation system can block low-frequency noise up to 300Hz, which has remarkable results and can effectively prevent the driver from feeling fatigued during long-distance travel. With the help of seatbelt sensors, the new system also enables the volume and source of the sound to be adjusted in a directional manner, depending on the number of occupants and their location. Applied to meridian Treasure of England's luxury sound system, the vehicle will monitor the situation inside the cab in real time, continuously optimizing noise reduction to create a comfortable driving experience, while achieving a high balance between vehicle weight and dynamic driving.

At present, the Land Rover Range Rover Star Pulse and Jaguar F-PACE models are the first to carry this latest technology, which prevents driving fatigue and reduces the occurrence of driving accidents by reducing noise.
