League of Legends officially released the Hero Update Blueprint today, which includes the upcoming new wild hero "Queen of the Void"; a new ADC from overseas who uses water and mist; and the redo concept and progress of three redone heroes Udir, Dragon King and Scorpion.
A whole new world (Void Fight Wild)
Don't close your eyes! The hero design team will soon make a move. She is beautiful and indispensable, unavoidable, and destined. For those wild players, this is a brand new guerrilla fighter. Submit to the new empress, and you will surrender.
Those willing to do so will be rewarded, becoming part of an ever-expanding purple ocean, framing the enemy's defenses like waves. Yield to your empress and let her suck your essence so you can become part of the new evolution of the Rune Land. As an added bonus, you will also witness her true grace, her true beauty, and her true face in the void.
A Celebration of Joy (New ADC)
Last night we were passing by and saw that the place was a mess. Tables were smashed, bottles were broken, and strange glowing puddles were everywhere. It was caused by a colorful but deadly stranger from the other side of the ocean.
Some Noxus overturned strangers' oysters. As they stood up from the table, the brightly colored guy let out a happy laugh. The Noxus thought the stranger was making fun of her and took up arms. At this time, the fog suddenly filled the entire restaurant. It was all that was heard was laughter and the sound of splashing water. When the fog cleared, ten heavily armed Noxus men died, while the stranger was gone.
Soul Guardian (Udir)
Udir's basic design was completed and we focused on his range of skins, with most of the team working on his Soul Guard skins. We really poured a lot of love and attention into this skin and made it truly the ultimate skin.
One of the goals of the Soul Guard is to preserve some of the essence of the old Udil, which will symbolize the period during his training at Ionian, and will also use the same beasts (tigers, bears, turtles, and phoenixes) as the previous Udil. We want the Soul Guardian to immortalize his old animal form while increasing their number to 11. I don't want to reveal everything, but I'll leave you with an early model of conceptual art and his soul guarding the skin.
New Dragon Casting Stars (Dragon King)
Let's talk about Aurelian Saul. When we released Dragon King, many of you were so excited about his release that he became the most used new hero on the first day. Now his usage rate has fallen to the lowest echelon, and it has been so ever since.
We didn't think that tinkering with his gameplay with a few minor changes would convey the thematic fantasy he brought, so we decided to try a new type of hero update: the integrated gameplay update - CGU.
Dragon King's background, model, story, etc. will not be released to change, but the skills will be reworked similar to the VGU of Thern and Argat, and the changes are expected to be released by the end of this year.
Dig deep under the sand (scorpion)
Let's talk about the hero who won the VGU vote earlier this year: Skaná. The redo hasn't started yet, but the designers shared 4 sets of concept maps.
The first two lines try to keep Skaner's theme the same as the ones exist, while making him more unique on the hero list by adding other fantasy elements, not just traditional scorpion body structures.
The third line contains an exploration of a full redo of the Shell People. Before the Shurema civilization disappeared into the desert, they were the protectors of the ancient Shurima civilization. His idea was that they were made of crystals that contained the souls of thousands of elite warriors.
The final line is a follow-up exploration of Skaná's current backstory. We haven't been sure yet, but in this idea he was captured by Piltwolf and experimented with to create a Hex Guardian they could control. But he regained his memory, fled Piltwolf, and is now determined to destroy the city because of what they had done to him and his people. Now he has the cute Hex amplifier to help him do it. Pietrov will soon taste his own bitter fruit.
