Half a month after the pre-sale, BYD held a Han DM-i media test drive event, and I can drive this car, and my heart is full of expectations.
Since the car has been a static experience before, this time it will not dwell on the design of the appearance and interior, and directly enter the dynamic link.
The test drive is a total of 260 kilometers back and forth, with highways, urban roads, country roads and mountain roads, which basically covers most of the road conditions we can encounter in our daily life. The test drive model is the 121km version, and its power system is composed of a Snap cloud-plug hybrid exclusive 1.5Ti engine and an EHS hybrid system, of which the maximum power of the engine is 102kW (139PS) and the maximum torque is 231N·m; the maximum power of the motor is 145kW (197PS), the maximum torque is 316N·m, and the battery capacity of the lithium iron phosphate blade is 18.3kWh, and the NEDC pure electric cruising range is 121km.
The entire series of Han DM-i models are equipped with slow charging and fast charging, of which the 121km version is equipped with 40kW fast charging, while the 242km version is equipped with 80kW fast charging, which meets the different needs of consumers in charging.
The 121km version of han DM-i with the motor power is the smallest in the whole series, but also close to 200PS, so the daily in the urban road, its power is still very sufficient, the start of the adjustment is not brisk, you need to step on a little deeper throttle, if you step deeper, even can bring a certain sense of push back, after all, its 100 km acceleration performance is 7.9 seconds, compared with the same level of fuel vehicles, it can also occupy a certain advantage. Driving on the urban road, because DM-i is mainly electric, the engine as a supplement to the working principle, so at any time it is very smooth to drive, traffic jam stop-and-go can handle very calmly, there is no need to worry about frustration, to the front and rear passengers to bring a comfortable ride.
Our car is not fully charged and then traveled, the minimum power set by the battery SOC is 26%, when we set off, we see that the power is only 21%, but after driving a section of urban road, the battery power has been charged to 28%, and at this time it is already possible to force the EV mode to be turned on.
After entering the high speed, the drive mode of Han DM-i will automatically switch between HEV mode and engine direct drive mode, and we found that if the speed is cruising between 80-90km/h, the vehicle will switch the drive mode according to the depth of the driver's throttle, during which the battery power continues to increase. If the speed rises to between 110-120km/h, most of the time it is the engine direct drive, of course, occasionally the motor will cut in, it will choose the optimal drive mode according to the current road conditions and the driving action of the driver.
I also carried out a more violent driving of Han DM-i, in the high-speed overtaking and mountain road climbing, almost full throttle output, power comes quickly, overtaking will be very clean and clean, this time the drive mode is basically in parallel drive, the motor and the engine at the same time, so it is difficult to think fast.
The electric-based Han DM-i is easy to leave a good impression on people, after all, in our daily driving environment, its power performance is really excellent.
Today's test drive, I drove the Han DM-i to walk a variety of road conditions, its chassis overall tuning is still more comfortable, pressing through the uneven asphalt road and speed bumps, its suspension can basically filter out those disturbing vibrations. Whether in the front or rear, its ride comfort is good, worthy of BYD's flagship sedan status.

Originally, we thought that this result could win the championship, but who knew that the other group of media peer trio actually ran out of 3.5L/100km, and later through analysis, our group unanimously believed that their weight occupied the advantage, so the loss was also convinced.
