By the end of March 2022, NIO had delivered a total of 192,838 smart electric vehicles.
Although NIO's sales in March still did not exceed 10,000, it still showed an upward trend compared with January. It is also worth noting that the delivery of THEO ET7 began on March 28, and as of March 31, 163 units have been delivered. Previously, Li Bin revealed that the order of NIO ET7 has already exceeded 15,000 units, and it will become an important driving force for the growth of NIO's delivery volume.
In the previous earnings report performance sharing meeting, Li Bin also focused on the current production capacity of Weilai Automobile, because the current three models of Weilai ET7, ET5 and ES7 are in an important stage of mass production, and it is also necessary to overcome the difficulties brought by the chip shortage, so the production capacity will inevitably have an impact, and after these models have passed the ramp-up period, I believe that Weilai's production capacity will also return to the normal rhythm, and the delivery volume will definitely increase significantly.
At the same time as announcing the delivery volume, NIO also announced important product information, among which NIO ES8, ES6 and EC6 will launch a new 2022 model in late May, which will be equipped with the latest smart cockpit hardware, and will also launch corresponding smart cockpit upgrade solutions for existing users; in addition, the new large five-seat SUV developed based on the NT2 platform will also be released at the end of May.
