This i3 is not a pi i3! BMW officially launched the i3 eDrive35L in China. The point is that this is not a small hatchback, but a pure electric version of the BMW 3 Series!
The new generation of i3 that has been circulating for a long time has finally appeared, no longer a small hatchback, and this car name will be transformed into a pure electric model of the 3 Series. The currently published i3 eDrive35L is a pure electric four-door sedan based on the 3 series long-axis version, which is exclusive to the Chinese market and is expected to be listed in May, with a price of 349,900 yuan in China.
In terms of appearance, although the grille has been changed to a closed type due to pure electric identity, it maintains the "normal size" and retains the outline of the current 3 series as a whole, but from the perspective of the new style headlight and bumper design, these are likely to become the design language of the future small modification 3 series.
Due to the long shaft version loved by domestic consumers, the wheelbase is 110mm longer than the general 3 series, which can bring better rear seat space, and the charging hole is set on the left leaf version of the front of the car. The powertrain adopts the same fifth-generation eDrive pure electric power module as the iX3, i4 and iX, with a power output of 282hp/40.8kgm in a single-motor rear-wheel drive configuration, which can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 6.2 seconds.
The power management part is equipped with a 70kWh lithium battery, under China's CLTC test standard, the cruising range is 526km, and the 95kW DC fast charge can be completed in 35 minutes to complete 10~80% battery charging. The interior focuses on the introduction of the brand's latest one-piece floating curved screen, which is composed of a 12.3-inch LCD instrument panel and a 14.9-inch central control screen, and is equipped with the latest iDrive 8.0 system.
Although the i3 eDrive35L is currently only sold in the Chinese market, this is the sixth pure tram launched by the BMW Group (including the Mini Cooper SE), and in the photo released by the original factory, you can also see the iX1 and i7 with camouflage on the rear, which are all new pure electric works that will be piled up in the future, and the brand pure electric layout will be more complete.
