On March 30, Lotus's pure electric SUV ELETRE officially debuted overseas, which is a luxury pure electric SUV built by Lotus based on the EPA architecture. It is expected that the Wuhan smart factory will be officially put into operation in the second half of this year. New cars are currently available for pre-order in the UK and European markets.
Previously, Lotus has released a pure electric supercar called Evija, which is priced at 21.88 million. This time, the Eletre is the second electric product and the first SUV under the brand. Targeting SUVs is also the choice of many supercar brands to test the water electrification in recent years. Examples include Lamborghini Urus, Maserati Grecale and Ferrari Purengue.
The appearance of the whole vehicle continues the pore design of Lotus Evija, the recognizable "big mouth" is extremely fierce, and the split headlight group plus angular lines look extremely tense and full of performance.
The oversized 23-inch wheels on the side are particularly eye-catching, and the two-tone body design makes the whole car stand out. The new car has a length of 5103/2019/1630mm and a wheelbase of 3019mm, positioning medium and large SUVs.
At the same time, the vehicle also improves the aerodynamic performance from multiple aspects. For example, the roof is equipped with a unique double-piece rear spoiler, the rear enveloping air duct on both sides, and the double-layer large-size tail diffuser device, etc., and the wind resistance coefficient of the whole vehicle is as low as 0.26Cd under the blessing of many configurations.

It has a strong track gene, and the handling performance has not been weakened because it is a pure electric vehicle. The new car is equipped with 48V anti-roll bars, independent air suspension at the front and rear, rear wheel steering and other configurations, which greatly ensure the handling performance of the whole vehicle. According to the plan, Lotus plans to launch four new models by 2026.
