On the afternoon of March 21, 2022, Changan Automobile officially announced the official launch of UNI-V, the first car in its UNI sequence. The new car launched four models, priced in the range of 108,900-131,900 yuan. The four models of the new car are equipped with blue whale NE 1.5T engines, and the later version with blue whale NE 2.0T engines will be available in the second quarter. The four models of the 1.5T version, regardless of configuration or design, can be regarded as the limit of power in the Currently Listed Chinese Compact Sedan, and the configuration provides a good auxiliary effect. So, how should we choose the four models?
Let's start with a review of the basic information about the new car. In terms of appearance, Changan UNI-V continues the family design of the UNI sequence on the one hand, using the design language of the boundaryless grille, on the other hand, it is different from the UNI-T and UNI-K listed before in detail, and has its own characteristics. Moreover, the design language of the borderless grille of the UNI sequence is installed on a car for the first time, which is still very much a manifestation of the sporty atmosphere that the manufacturer wants to give this model.
The new car has a length, width and height of 4680/1838/1430mm, and a wheelbase of 2750mm. At this stage, in the same class of models, the body of Changan UNI-V is low enough, and the wheelbase reaches 2750mm, which is very close to the size of a medium-sized car. Under such a premise, we can see that the overall visual effect of the new car is very sporty, and with a sharp waistline and a large size rim, it further highlights the understanding of the sports family car type that the manufacturer wants to express.
At the rear of the vehicle, the new car adopts through tail lights, and with an upwardly raised duck tail, and above the duck tail, it is rare to be equipped with an original electric tail that can be lifted, which can be said to be the most prominent feature of the UNI-V model.
In terms of interior, the new car continues the design of UNI-K, and the full LCD instrument is displayed in the form of three screens, and then with a floating central control screen, which ensures the scientific and technological atmosphere in the car. In addition, the new car has different combinations of interior color combinations according to different versions.
In terms of power, the new car is equipped with a Blue Whale NE series 1.5T engine, with a maximum power of 138kW and a maximum torque of 300Nm, matching the Blue Whale 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission. In addition, the new car uses a suspension combination of front McPherson and rear multi-link.

In terms of driver assistance and safety configuration, the superior model provides front and rear parking radar, 360° panoramic image, full speed domain adaptive cruise, engine start-stop, uphill assist, dual front airbags, front side airbags, front and rear head curtains, tire pressure display, ABS+EBD, ESP body stability system, and active emergency braking.
In addition, the Excellence Type provides the optional sports Coldplay bag and electric flying wing package, and the sports Coldplay package includes the Blaster Sports Kit and the four-out exhaust, and the optional package price is 2999 yuan. The Sport version has the same configuration performance as the Premium, but has improved in some details. Externally, the Sport version has upgraded its 19-inch alloy wheels and offers Dunlop-branded tires, plus variable exhaust sound, four-out exhaust, while the Sport model is directly equipped with the aforementioned "BlastErge Sports Kit" and provides two-tone body color.
Interiors, the Sport model offers Vibrant Orange/Black colour-block upholstery, as well as Dynamic Yellow/Black colour-block upholstery, and the front seatbelts also offer Vibrant Orange or Dynamic Yellow colour schemes, which are different from the Premium and Premium models, and the addition of Alcantara+ leather mix-and-match seats.
In terms of intelligent technology configuration, driving assistance, and safety configuration, the sports version is basically the same as the premium type. In addition, the Sport model does not offer an optional Sound Quality Package.

Externally configured, the Smart Navigator still offers 18-inch rims and does not provide a Blast Motion Kit, but adds adaptive near- and far-beam switching and rain-sensing front wipers. Internal configuration, smart pilot model adds main driver seat ventilation/heating, SONY brand 10 speakers (enjoy sound quality package), car air purifier, negative ion generator, PM2.5 filter. In addition, compared to the sports version, leather seats are still available.
Intelligent technology configuration, the smart pilot type increased the number of ultrasonic radars to 12, the number of millimeter wave radars increased to 5, and the remote control parking function was increased. In terms of driving assistance and safety configuration, the smart pilot type has added parallel assist, lane keeping assist, and reversing side warning system.
