The online car market has obtained information on Infiniti's new car planning, and the brand plans to launch three new cars by 2025, namely a new medium-sized SUV, a new generation QX80 and a pure electric sedan. It is reported that the new medium and large SUV will be positioned between the QX50 and QX60, the main competitors cover Mercedes-Benz GLE, BMW X5, Lexus RX and other models, as soon as 2025 with the new pure electric sedan in Canton, Mississippi put into production. The new generation of QX80 models will be officially launched at the end of next year, and can also be regarded as a "large QX60" model.

According to overseas media, Infiniti's upcoming new medium and large SUV will be built on the same platform as the QX60 model, and will be powered by a 3.5L V6 naturally aspirated engine, with a maximum power of 220kW, a peak torque of 366N·m, a transmission system matching a 9-speed manual transmission, and optional four-wheel drive system. In addition, the new car is expected to launch plug-in hybrid models and pure electric models for consumers to purchase in the later stage.
The new generation of QX80 models is expected to eliminate the 5.6L V8 naturally aspirated engine on the current model and plan to replace it with a new V6 twin-turbo engine, and the drivetrain is expected to match the 9-speed manual transmission. At the same time, the new car does not rule out that a plug-in hybrid model will be launched for consumers to purchase in the later stage.
